Well, they say "3rd times a charm" like he really hasn't already delivered anyway, but I think he will come through again. If you really think about it, the past interviews with fellow producers Mel-Man, Dawaun Parker, Denaun Porter, Focus, Hi-Tek and the rest of the Aftermath family give pretty good indicators of how serious Dre's touch really is. Even RZA acknowledged that Dre is a master and does it better than RZA himself. These sorts of comments mean something.

Of course whether it lives up to the hype is going to be subjective as Mackin already mentioned. I'm more than ready for whatever Dre delivers in that album. Hopefully he brings hip hop down to its knees where the whole soundscape takes on a sort of paradigm shift to where every producer from every region will go back to the drawing board, baffled and blown away. Fruity Loops can only go so far. Dre needs to take this thing over again.

If it's not top-quality album, it's not coming out. Dre doesn't wanna ruin his career with weak 3rd/last album. If it comes out, it will be classic. Trust me, Dre ain't gonna release an album if it's not an undoubted classic.

Nope.

You can give me bad karma all you want but he def wont this time.

He 1000000% sure wont live up to the hype he created himself by waiting this long though. Thats 4 sure.

The album'll be aight with maybe 2-4 bangin/memorable songs.

Dre will deliver what Dre delivers whether it's top quality depends on one's perception and interpretation thereof! ;)

Having said i can't wait to hear what he has in store!! ;)

Hopefully it will be material that i can still listen to 4/5 years after it was released!  8)

i agree

but after waiting so long for this to drop, if it comes out and every track is laced with 2 or 3 rappers i wont help but feel disappointed

its his last album - i wanna hear what kind of things he has to say. im not interested in hearing Game, 50, Lil Wayne, Jay Z or anyone else spit all over the album.

id like to hear 12 tracks - a couple of guest rappers and people on the hook with some beats that will still sound fresh in 10 years time
Always talkin bout the cash he got, the little pesos for shows
And God knows his materialistic raps and wack flows
are like Stay Free pads, fake V.I.P. rappers get garbage disposed
Unrecouped for his flamboyance and reflection
He's leasin rentin and frontin
- Kool Keith 'Haters'

i want to bump this one more time, for those that haven't voted yet  ;)

kuruptDPG

damn  dont think he'll do gd, but i hope he proves me wrong.

what i really really really dont understand is, i mean the traks we've heard recently produced by dr.dre are ok, ther not really that much of a big deal eg bitch im back, grow up, fire etc. now we all know dr.dre is the best producer ever so is it dre's fault for coming up with these beats that are ok or is it the rappers fault for picking the beats that are average?

ICHI THE KILLER

im sceptical but i think he will put out good stuff even with lil wayne on it(hopefully not  ;D)

If it's dropping it's going to be hot.

But Detox = Chinese Democracy - it's probably never gonna drop. In that last Bishop Lamont interview he seemed really frustrated and almost sounded like Dre had yet again scrapped everything and started all over.

At this point I think it's more likely that in 6-7 years we'll get an 800 track digital "album" entitled "the Detox sessions". The album itself will never drop.

i see what you're saying; well like said before, with the poll, i assumed that it will be released.
there's no point in creating a poll about whether people think that the album will come , as the results are predictable   ;)

anyway, i wouldn't complain if something like that was planned  ;)
i believe Dre is sitting on gold, no joke  ;)
