"Black widow venom is primarily a neurotoxin, which as a rule does not cause local tissue death and destruction. Best known for widespread muscle spasm and often mimics that of a severe abdominal problem i.e. acute appendicitis, or ruptured ovarian cyst.

The initial bite is very painful, but can go unnoticed. The surface of the skin may display two red bite wounds, one, or none. The worst pain is in the first 8-12 hours, symptoms may continue for several days.

All children, pregnant women and individuals with hypertension should be admitted to a hospital.

Antivenom is available"

exactly, it doesnt cause stomachaches. People who have been bitten by them are typically in excruciating pain for hours...with the feeling of having all your muscles cramp at one time. Its not the kind of bite that you get...and go about your day as if you have a stomachache lol.

My uncle got bite by a Black Widow and didn't go to the hospital for a week. When his arm basically became so painful he had no chose, they took out some of his muscle in  his arm. He got a bad bite though.

Bee vs. Jumping Spider

When they say jumping spider, they're not kidding.
This spider can jump 50 times its body length. More worse for its intended victim - in this case, a bee.

The fishing spider need neither rod nor reel to lure in tadpoles, fish or frogs. No catch and release program here!

Yummy to my tummy.

Japanese spider crab
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_spider_crab
The Japanese spider crab, Macrocheira kaempferi, is the largest known arthropod; fully grown it can reach a leg span of almost 4 m (13 ft), a body size of up to 37 cm (15 inches) and a weight of up to 20 kg (44 lb). The crab's natural habitat is on the bottom of the Pacific Ocean (some 300 to 400 m deep) around Japan, where it feeds on dead animals and shellfish. It is believed to have a life expectancy of up to 100 years.[1]

Currently, this is the only living species of the genus Macrocheira, but there have been two reports of other fossil specimens. M. kaempferi is named in honor of Engelbert Kaempfer, the German traveller and naturalist from Lemgo, Germany.

Spider Learns to Weave Web in Zero Gravity

NASA scientists find lost other spider lurking in its box
By GINA SUNSERI Nov. 20, 2008

Spider No. 2 has finally been found on the International Space Station, apparently lurking somewhere in its box before finally resurfacing today.
Perhaps it overcame space adaptation sickness.

(NASA.gov)

The second of two spiders accompanying the crew on the space station disappeared earlier this week, and the flight team had been hoping for it to return.

In the meantime, spider No. 1 has apparently gotten the hang of weightless weaving.
Video of the spider's web shows a dramatic improvement in recent days.
Earlier this week the web was very tangled, with no symmetry at all.
Now it looks more like a spider's web should look.
