Bumping it right now. Dope ass track. I like the Trauma version better than the Red Light District one. Really thought it would have blown the fuck up but oh well. Trauma is a slept on LP.

Trauma was an awesome album. It's only a shame that it didn't get the attention that it deserved but that can be said of all Quik's projects minus the early ones.

Yeah unfortunately I am tired of seeing that with Quik. He should get waaay more promotion for his projects then what he has gotten.

i gotta agree, this track was the shit.

and trauma is definitely way too underrated.
it got heavy spins out here in LA, but other then that
i don't think too many people were fucking with it.

even that track with chingy was on point.

yo i gotta say it, i think i can consider trauma a classic.

like a gem, cuz not a lot of people are on to it.
it's got some of quiks best production i think.
the drums and everything just sound so fat and clean.

anybody heard the interview where he talked about
going out to new york to mix and produce the album
because of the wattage differences in the power outlets
or some shit. said it gave everything a warmer and fatter tone.

quik is on some crazy shit haha.

Lots of people don't realize the version on Luda's album, which is the original, wasn't produced by Quik. Quik produced the one on Trauma but he basically just replayed the old beat and added new instruments and some different lyrics. Both versions are dope as fuck but I prefer the original.

I don't know if I consider it a classic but I put it in with the 213 album and the previous Westside Connection albums in the list of albums that really don't get the fair due. Nearly every song is heat. I think in the case of Quik, he has so many classic albums that this one kind of gets lost in the mix when people speak on his catalog. I think the year it came out (2005?), it was one of the best albums to drop.
