If this was anyone other than Kanye West (or if this was the first album Kanye did), do y'all think this album would get the same amount of hate? I love every Kanye West album, but I like especially like how he goes against the grain on this one (it's fresh, like when Outkast/Andre threw a curve ball w/ "The Love Below"/another classic to me).

but imo, just cause its fresh and against the grain doesn't always equal quality..i find ppl are 2 quick 2 jump on anything "fresh" or "creative" (which this isnt) even if it sucks..The difference between this and the Kast 1 is that the Kast 1 was dope..

^using auto tune and singing on a whole album is far from having a vision or expanding the music; it's a cheap way out of selling records because kanye saw auto tune/singing (1 or both) work for T-Pain, Wayne & T.I..decides to make a fuckin full album of it

I have zero interest in listening to this album.  It's amazing how much worse each Kanye album gets.  How do you go from College Dropout to an album of autotune and fucking wack features?  Kanye is talented as fuck but goddamn the directions he's going with his albums is retarded.  I hated his last album, couldn't even make it through the whole thing.

I know I'm bumping this thread from page 2, but I had to let my peoples know.  This album is truly on some fresh different shit.  But like most of you said, that don't really mean a good thing.  I guess thats Kanye being Kanye again.  I definately give him props for doing his own/different thing, but it ain't really my thing.


Oh yeah, the track with Wayne is slammin......





....Cuz Kayne has captured the sound that Wayne strives for now and days.  Kayne should produce Wayne's next album with this same sound.  Then Wayne may sell a milli 20 minutes after the album is releases (since that's what the young dudes like).

I gave this another chance, since I thought that I was just hating on it before I even listened to it because of the auto-tune and all the bullshit he said. With that being said I found myself keeping only 5 tracks: Welcome To Heartbreak, Amazing, Heartless, Love Lockdown and Coldest Winter. The rest is trash.

Kanye remains an amazing producer, that Welcome To Heartbreak beat gives me chills.
