Chad Vader's Stat Quo; The Bailout review

Stat Quo - The Bailout (2008)

01. Never Ending Cycle (Prod by T.A.)
The intro makes me think off the fucking World Bank  >:( >:( >:( >:( (they actually just paid for the war,way to make people to learn for their mistakes  >:( :-[ :-\)
Now on the the track  :P  Yeah, shit is banging,Stat is surprising the hell out of me... :o (it's not some club shit  ;))
4/5

02. Bailout Skit
Just a skit so no rating

03. Bail Me Out
Don't really feel the beat, but his lyrics make you listen... (yeah he got something to say  ;))
3/5

04. I Am Hip Hop (Prod. by Lyr1kz)
Tight... the beat is fire and Stat comes off,I feel him.... dope shit.
4/5

05. Washed Away(Prod. by Diverse)
Don't feel the beat.... but again both the lyrics and beat is something I ain't used to hear from Stat.....  :P
2/5

06. Another Level (Prod. by Sicknotes)
This one got a little more south feeling to it... could easily be some Goodie Mob shit (their first album).
"... where's the new moguls, who the fuck we counting on,nobody is stepping up,we just doing just enough, hoping some can carry us"
^^^^^ hell yeah +1 for that Stat... Cold187um and Crooked should listen to you  ;) :P  ^^^^ (no Luna I ain't harsh,it's the truth  ;))
3.5/5

07. The Illest (Prod. by Diverse)
Dope beat, but something is lacking not sure what it is though.
3.5/5

08. J Newt Speaks
Just a skit,so rating (and please stop complaining about the gas prices, think for a second how they got like that  :P ;))

09. Whats Happening
The beat is too hype for me  :P,too much shit going on  :-\ so no I ain't feeling it.
2/5

10. Different Kind Of High
Some smooth shit... but it's only a little over minute long.
3.5/5

11. Pussy
 wtf? but just a skit,so no rating

12. Hit That
Blah,blah... bullshit  :P
2/5

13. J Newt Speaks 2
Just a skit,so no rating

14. My Life
Some story rap shit.... I feel his pain.
3.5/5

15. I'm Feeling Myself
nahhhhhhhhh  :-X :-X :-X :-X
1/5

16. Nothing to Loose
The beat is on some Organized Noise shit... in other words some Atlanta shit.  ;) Nice...
3.5/5

17. I'm Innocent (Produced by Dub Z)
Yeah,I feel it... another story rap
3.5/5

18. G.R.I.T.S. (Remix) (Ft. Little Brother)
Love the OG,the piano backdrop is on some feel good shit. Nice.... should have been a hit.  ;) (the remix is basicilly the same shit, just with Little Brother dropping by)
4/5

Conclusion and overall rating;
Not everybody feel Stat, some actually find him annoying  :P
I´m not one those though,he killed that Future track that Dre produced,I loved "I build this city" and G.R.I.T.S should have been a hit.
I guess it´s just me,but I would love to hear him on Detox  :P ;)
After listening to this album/street album/mixtape I even hear more potenial... Interscope/Jimmy is what it is  :-\ :-\ :-[
But I hope Dre is wise enough to keep him on the Detox team, only time will tell.
This ain´t your everyday south album/street album/mixtape,
it´s more Hip Hop than Crunk,Snap,Trap and/or Crunk...actually most of the tracks is straight up Hip Hop.
The content well.... he actually got something to say  ;) ;) ;).
Only gone trough once so far,so I will just give it 3 out of 5 for now. But I might kick my rating up a notch later,it sounds promising.  ;)

3 out of 5  ;)

I can do it myself  ;)
I will let it stay here for a week or two then move it along with rest of my reviews. Nice to have them organized in a section that ain't so active.  ;)

Exactly. You could just make your own review thread in that section! No more related threads BS, no more archiving your own threads... Sounds like a plan to me! :)

Just gave it a spin. my short review.

1. Never Ending Cycle - 5/5 - Wow. The lyrics and subject matter are  :o  the beat and hook are correct 2.

2. Skit - No Rating

3. Bail Me Out - 3.5/5 - some funny lyrics but overall just an alright song.

4. I Am Hip-Hop - 4.5/5 - more sick stuff here, great track.

5. Washed Away - 4/5 - pretty cool track, more good subject matter.

6. Another Level - 4/5 - Another solid track of content/subject matter.

7. The Illest - 4.75/5 - Definitely feelin' the old school N.Y. style beat. Stat rocks it nice.

8. J. Newt Speaks Skit - Skit.

9. What's Happenin' - 3.5/5 - good track but too short.

10. Different Kind Of High - 4/5 - Good, but also short.

11. Pussy - Skit

12. Hit That - 4.25/5 1st track of the usual subject matter. it's straight though, some funny ass lines. plus its a just blaze beat (i believe).

13. J Newt Speaks 2 - Skit.

14. My Life - 4.5/5 - Again, good subject matter. Stat Quo really surprises listeners on this project with the content.

15. I'm Feelin' Myself - 4/5 Had a bad feeling about this track cause of the title, but it ain't what you think (not on some mainstream shit)

16. Nothin' to Loose - 5/5 - Another sick ass track, 1 of the best on the tape.

17. I'm Innocent - 4.75/5 - Another great track. The beat bangs, good stuff. Stat came correct with the lyrics as well.

18. G.R.I.T.S. Remix Ft. Little Brother - 4.25/5 Cool remix. Good idea to get LB on it.

Overall, a great tape. Will be awaiting more material from Stat Quo for sure and I think some will be coming again very soon ;D

So no Dre beats? ;)
Been a while since I listened to Stat. Judging by the review sounds good.

Edit. This is 100 times better than those piece of shit mixtapes I've heard from Stat. He certainly got the potential. I would give it 3,5 or 4 because he overdone himself in my eyes.

not that I can hear/see/tell  :P :P
Yeah, the production sounds good. Maybe it's better that there are no 10 different versions of 1 Dre-beat. I feel bad for Stat though, he should've just left years ago. Hopefully he gets an album released and some good contract. South is still on top and should help someway.

I give it a 3.5.  Wasn't feeling Stat Quo until he started dropping these mixtapes.  Now I look forward to each one he'll drop.  Same way Lloyd Banks.  His recent shit I bump a lot, more honest material.
