Surah 6: 15- (Translated and Paraphrased)
"Some are waiting to see if Angels come to them.  Or the Lord himself.  But it does no good to believe then, when thou had been waiting before."

Scholarly Explanation:  
The foolish man without sense, is waiting for things that will not happen.  And is suprised by the real things that do happen.
The righteous man of faith is waiting for the fruits of his righteousness.  Of which he has an assured hope, in a higher state of spiritual elevation.  Even the fruits have no personal meaning to him, for Allah is to him All in All.

so how do ya stop lookin and waiting for things that will never come?

For example, if my way of coming up is to be rich, and try to fuck supermodels, I may never get there, or, I may get there, and find out it wasn't all it was cracked up to be, and lose it all anyway.  
But if your trying to come up in faith, the likeness of your creator, Islam, all the knowledge you obtain, and self-growth you endure, it can never be taken away from you, and you will aquire that which you strive for, and Allah will reward you double, of what you give in the way of Allah.
