The "hip hop" you like is generally poppy crap rap, so your opinion holds no weight.

Me, I feel like there will always be good music to listen to. Sure, I anticipate some albums more than others, but I also know that a lot of times very anticipated albums disappoint. Hip hop has evolved and it will never go back to the state of how it was in 1988. Most things that are hot today are garbage and as long as there are rappers out there only for the fame or the money, this will not change. I think 2009 will be, even more so than 2008, the year of the autotune. Be prepared, bitches!

No , every new year is supposed to bring hip hop back but the contrary always happened i.e each year the genre hit a new low .... there always will be some good songs and "undergound"  albums (even if those are more and more rare aswell) but I ain't anticipating hip hop albums anymore ... I've lost my "passion" for hip hop for some time now ... I just listen to more and more others kind of music ....

It will be a year for good music. Dont expect to hear BET playing some 90s G-Funk though.

Exactly my thoughts. I've been trying to catch as many types of music I can, already listened to 60's pop, 80's rock, 90's electronica, next propably some Jazz & Blues. Still checking for those underground albums though...like 2 months late.

No you don't because I dont agree (no diss).

And I hope rap changes from just a beat (drum machine/software only) and a rapper/mc.

Things will always be the same, the only things that are subject to change can only get worse. Didn't any of you get the memo?
