im not hating SS .. i like some of ur songs... i respect ur hustle.. ur still known on the west..

its just that on a mainstream level.. since informal intro.. well nothing personal.. but u aint been visible worldwide.. granted u had a hit record and got worldwide exposure.. but id rather see the west coast as a major player in the hip hop.. with 4-5 big hitters coming out every year goin multi-plat.. where is the west's equivalent of TI, Kanye, Lil'Wayne?? i mean like in the 21st century all we've had really is The Game as a new rapper whose comin out and goin multi platinum.. even now since Dre stopped fuckin wid him.. his beats have gone downhill..

i mean like outside the west people are like "what happened to Knoc and sheist?" .. these are people that actually liked "where i wanna be" or "the knoc ft missy"... what we wanna see is artists with longevity  :)

NORTH AMERICA
SOUTH AMERICA
THE UNITED KINGDOM
JAPAN
TAIWAN
CANADA
GREECE
SPAIN

Just some of the countries I have and continue to perform in..
..that looks to be about.. hmmm.... ALL OF THE MAJOR ONES!

so yeah.. I aint really been visible worldwide.. I just have toured more than every other WC artist outside of Snoop.  ;D
(would've said Tech9ne but then yall would say "he ain't westcoast" lmao)

2). Every single I dropped while mainstream charted on Billboard. "Where I Wanna Be" was the biggest.
You only refer to WIWB yet "John Doe" and "Wake Up" acheived a very similar success
as did "Money Owners" and "What Would U Do"..

We could also talk about 'Shady Montage' but some of you weren't even born yet!

**And I'm Not Bragging.. Just Stating The Facts.. Cause You Asked For It**

and furthermore.. I've never wanted the title you speak of..
as I stated on my track "I'm Still Here" - "I ain't tryna to be the King but I'm cool with being close."

I'm not no Westcoast savior.. I just do my part to ensure the West reaches outside of the USA.  That's it.

I don't see what's wrong with that statement. Other than couple of albums from Xzibit, Game and Eastsidaz I can't think of any better albums. I bought it back in the 02 I think and it was money well spent. I don't think Shade is anything special lyrically but he is a good songwriter, like 50 or Snoop, he knows how to make hits. That statement about replacing any other rapper with him on Where I Wanna Be is completley retarted. Last time I heard him was on Lights Out and it looks like he still got it.

Anyways, what's this "BTWBTH" I keep hearing about ?

It's a dope one for that... Sure, he's not my favorite rapper and you can say and think about Shade Sheist what you want, but he does release good music. To be honest I can't think of any SS song that I dislike.

This is an example of true criticism. A statement I can actually use to better myself and my art.

We don't trip on statements like this.
According to everyone, they could've also had Kobe's draft pick if they only played basketball! LMAO.

Again.. constructive criticism.
I'm not looking to hear that everything I do is great. I wanna know what you think!

Yo Pen.. that lil piece at the end of my "2008 Year-End Review" was for you.  Merry Xmas.. LoL.

I had no idea you had a sophomore album, I need to check that out.

Anways, that statement wasn't really critisizm, good songwriters are a rare breed in these days. You have these mixtape rappers who are lyrical as hell but can't write a good song if their life depended on it.

Very true.

The thing folks don't realize about me is that I am a true artist in every sense of the word.

-I don't just get a beat cd and then rap on top..
-I work with my producers, I co-produce..
-I choose my guest appearances based on who ( I ) think would sound best on a track..
-I mix myself or sit in on both the mixing and mastering sessions..

I learned from the best from watching the best. Dr.Dre, Dj Quik, Timbaland, Teddy Riley, Nate Dogg,
all of them gave me constructive criticism I still use to this day to better myself..

I might come off a bit braggadocious but I'm a cat that's been around these parts since 93..
I just feel blessed.. Sue Me!

Less than 10 seconds of a track, but that sounded good. In fact: it sounded great ;D Thanks 8) What's the name of that song?

Man, I ain't seen/heard that word for years! LMAO

You're an intelligent dude, and I hope this question doesn't turn out to be ignorant, but do you do any political or so-called "conscious" tracks? I don't know your catalog nearly as well as any of these folks in this thread, so forgive the question....
