Quik 2008 Beats VS. Dre 2008 Beats

As soon as the names Dre and Quik appear in a thread it seems to immediately derail into a who's the better producer hatefest where everyone selects their side and bashes the other.
Both are quality producers and highly respected.

Now my assesion:

Quik
Cut Throat: A menacing southern inspired type of beat. But nothing that stands out. Something to bump when you in the car and in that gansta mood. t.Grade C
Where U At: Sounds like a nice club song. Cool use of the little horn sounds. Grade C+
Press Play: Epic. Best beat by far. One of my fave Quik productions.. Grade A+

Dre
Hold On - Medicore and boring. Grade D
Bitch Im Back -  Simple but it works great. The piano keys, smooth bass line, and faint guitar string combine for a great laid back track. B
Grow Up: Is in the same vein as Bitch Im Back. Cool laid back beat. Nice use of the synthesizer sound on the hook. B

My order
1.Press Play - Quik
2.Bitch Im Back - Dre
3.Grow Up - Dre
4.Where You At -Quik
5.Cut Throat - Quik
6.Hold on - Dre

Except for Press Play, none of these tracks were groundbreaking or amazing. Quik has the best track by far in, Press Play. But his others are ehhh... They aren't terrible they just don't stand out to me. Hold on is trash but Dre's two other beats I like. They are simple but have a depth that draws me to them.
It may be just be a matter of style and personal taste but i say Dre had the better productions out these selections.
