If it was possible to really execute a New Deal, we first have to look at how ridiculous the first New Deal was.  You must consider the implications of this.  If it was truly realistic to impose price controls and wage controls on businesses.

Then take it a step further and why doesn't the government just demand that every job pay at least $1 million dollars an hour, enforce that every American that wants one be given a job, and that the price of gas, milk, and all other commodities never rises above $1.00?  Wouldn't that be great?  I mean, doesn't the government have the power to do that?  I mean, we are the greatest country on Earth right?  Come on, why can't they do that?

Why do you call yourself a "Libertarian" and then listen to hip-hop, which is probably the most left-wing, pro-socialism music ever? Not logical.

So right wing people can only listen to Country music and Christian rock. What the fuck are you talking about. You're arguement isn't logical. It's something a long term McDonald's employee who hates his pathetic life would say. Stop joking around and post something serious you fool.

Actually you do bring up a good argument.  I've actually wondered to myself how I could like hiphop still even though Im no longer sociolist in my political views.

First of all, its kind of like that woman you love even though you know she's being dishonest, or the son you love unconditionally even though he doesn't listen to your advice anymore.  I love hip-hop, its a part of my history.

Also, there is so much more to hip-hop then just sociolist propaganda.  It's artwork, its insightful, and agree or disagree with what they are saying but you can still appreciate the way they express it.

Last point, some of hiphop IS libertarian.  Because hiphop expresses an artists individuality, creativity, and is often very non-conformist.  So therefore, in that way it is compatible with the Libertarian ideals of individualism and personal freedom.

Except that Infinite just responded and said, "You do bring up a good argument." Meaning, in other words, that he didn't think my argument was illogical even if he disagreed.

Man, you fucking suck. It's amazing how someone can suck so badly at debating (and life in general), yet still think he's clever.

About the only thing I've noticed hip-hop has in common with the Libertarian ideology is that both seem to agree that the War on Drugs is stupid (like that Cypress Hill song, what was it called? "Legalize It"?)

There may be more to hip-hop than socialist propaganda, but that's always been a very big part of it. I have never heard of a rapper who is pro-Free Market or anti-socialized medicine.

Yet they often praise and claim to be a part of the biggest free market in America; the illegal drug business.

ummm, I find it hard to draw that close of a relationship between Hip-Hop and socialism..... I mean, I've seen it, sure, but if you could reach into Hip-Hop like a box of Cheerios, I don't see where socialist propaganda would make up even  25% of your hand-ful.... I just don't see it....

With the WIDE WIDE WIDE range of Hip-Hop that I personally listen to, most Hip-Hop is neither socialist nor liberterian..... Most rappers fall right into the same psychological traps as any other average American citizen.... IMHO.....

Please elaborate your views more, I'm curious....

The whole victimhood mentality that rappers use to justify their drug-dealing and murdering is consistent with what leftists believe. Of course, as a racial realist, I know that the reason blacks actually act this way is because it's in their genetics to be selfish, lazy, and tribal.

Yet they often praise and claim to be a part of the biggest free market in America; the illegal drug business.

That may be true, but what does the typical rapper say whenever he makes a shallow (no pun intended) attempt to be political? Something to the effects of, "Yeah, I sold drugs and shot some niggaz, but it ain't my fault, yo. It's society's fault, cause the crackers and they government be givin' us the drugs and guns, yo. Blame whitey, blame AmeriKKKa. Yo. Yo. Yo." In other words, the message these rappers are sending across is that if the government would just implement a socialist society, they wouldn't have to be gangbangers and drug dealers.

Man, I got to get on more... lol

It's like this, the New New Deal is simple, Obama is going to bring in infrastructure, which is something FDR did, but on top of that, his going to invest in alternative energy, which is cool 'cause it's the main link of our present to our near future.

The dollar will collapse.

Matty

lol indeed. americans needs to start saving more and consuming less and credit needs to be less readily available to facilitate this. government also needs to cut spending itself and of course stop printing money and propping up bad companies to let the market corrections occur. this might be a recycled point of view but it's so unbelievably common sense i don't see how someone couldn't atleast partially agree.

creating a load of government jobs to build shit isn't the answer either because it's just more spending (inflation) and will be inefficient. since when was the government good at getting stuff done. it's their fault for the mess in the first place.

That's what's up

i'm gonna put down this way of thinking about america's finance that i heard.

think about it on an individual level. you are broke, unemployed and gotta keep borrowing money for your budget. big debt. obama's plan of building new infrastructure to stimulate the economy is as good as this broke individual borrowing even more money and spending it on fixing his house that he lives in. he didn't have the money to do it in the first place and he still hasn't got a job afterward and is deeper in debt.

building roads and shit only stimulates the economy as far as it takes america further into debt with no real plan of how to fix the massive deficits afterward. atleast spend the money on factories or something, things that will actually stimulate the REAL economy and provide better outlooks for the future.

its complete nonsense peeps.
