The beat is alright without the dark keys. Those chords sound too out of place.

On a side note, this beat slightly reminds me of this Mobb Deep song...

The dark keys is what drew me in.  You got to be different sometimes.  Not everything got to be on some happy shit.  Best 50 song I've heard in a while.  Real talk.

Exactly.  The dark feel is cool, I was feeling that.  The problem is the keys are the wrong note, and don't mesh with the rest of the melody..   Whoever produced it (wanted the dark feeling there) had a good idea, but whoever composed it (the actual player creating the notes) fucked up..  Nothing mixing can really fix either...

word. we've read stat talking about how dre is so paranoid about messing up his legacy. well, this sub-standard track is a great place to start if you want to mess up your legacy dre. you expect a 50 cent single from dre to be banging at the least, not 'ok' or 'not bad'. anything else is a total failure at this stage in 50's career and with the music industry as dried up as it is.

i'm pretty sure this is actually unfinished but that should be even more embarassing for dre as its posted all over the internet and the peeps that are being real are right to say that its trash and that the piano sounds are random as fuck. even with additions and changes i'm still pretty sure this would be wack which is a shame because 'get up' was actually really dope! check the live performance of get up with live instruments and its bomb!
