Aftermaths Brooklyn!

is a female!

from http://www.hiphopsite.com/Spotlight/NewsOnDL/

Word is that Eminem is releasing a mix show only white-label where he is freestyling over Tupac’s “Hail Mary” instrumental. In other Aftermath news, keep an ear out for a new female Dre is working with called Brooklyn.... Word is she's on some Nelly Furtado shit.. Look for Brooklyn’s debut to drop in Jan 2003, right after 50 Cent. However, with the recent word of Dre being sued for 500 million dollars (makes Dr. Evil face) by the same India company that sued him over the uncleared Truth Hurts sample that was used on “Addictive”, will there even be an Aftermath?

A freestyle over "Hail Mary" huh, should be tight. This Brooklyn sounds coo' and all but i'd rather hear "Detox" and "Oh My God" before anything else now. He can take as long as he wants on her then, lol. And about this 500 million dollar lawsuit, "Addictive" is a dope song, and the sample is great but it ain't even worth a quater of that, wtf are those people thinking.

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.

The thought of Dre going to the East I think is new attempt to integrate the Eastcoast and Westcoast hip hop in a bigger direction than before. It's obvious since his past collab with The Firm, which didn't meet Dre's or the streets expectations, that he's ready to carry out his assault in todays music. I also wonder if he's feeling westcoast artist in general just cause of the fact that his theme for Detox album is a story of a character Dre made up. His reason for that is because he states he's tired of talking about blunts, lowriders, and getting high. This could once again be another smart move or trend set by the 5 star Surgeon General. ;)

Brooklyn was really down to earth back in 03 when i interviewed her, i was convinced she'd do okay but the Truth Hurts stuff seemed to damage her chances of releasing anything!

Rud : Who are all these "5 Elements?"

Brooklyn : Ok, there's Joe Beast, he's just turned 20 and he raps and he's from Pittsburg. They have an artist called The Game, he's 19 and from Compton. They have a new artist named Antonio, he's 19 and is from New York and they have the female rapper named Shaunta, she's from Compton. And they have a singer...her name is Amy and I believe she's from Philadelphia...but don't quote me!

Game was 22 or 23 in 2002 ???

and damn Rud, you wrote Khalil's name wrong ;D she had big plans but she picked wrong label for them

Rap is not real, I don't care what they told you,
Fake people say fake things in their vocalbooth
- Soul Position - Mic Control

I make it hard to read me, graffiti flow - Rakim - Word On The Streets
