Hip-hop and rock songs!
« on: February 01, 2009, 05:27:01 AM »
Since waynes doing a rock albm i thought id stat a thread of tracks that show how rock and rap can actually work. Im not talking bout rock groups that rap aka Linkin Park, or obscure underground acts that fuse the two genres.

I'm talking tracks like thse:

Busta ft Ozzy - This Means Wars

Jay Z & Linkin Park - Numb/Encore

Limp Bizkit ft DMX, Redman & Method Man

I never considered the Roots Rock mixed with rap.  They just used live instrumentation.

Come with Me by P.Diddy and Rage Against the Machine is the few rock/rap that I can stand.

They aren't hard rock or metal, which is what most of you on this thread think rock is, but why are the Roots any less rock than Coldplay? Rock n' Roll is more than a singing vocal. If I Am The Walrus is rock then everythign by the Roots is rock too.
