it doesn't hurt if your awake they inject your gum with stuff that makes it completely numb its kinda funny actually. when that wears off it aint pretty...but hardly much different to when you wake up after being put to sleep.

I had one removed when I was 16 or 17.  It hadn't even poked through the skin yet so they had to dig it out.  They numbed me up and left for about 20 minutes and started going at it.  I was like owwww, the dentist was like, "you can feel that?"  So they had to numb me up some more.  It wasn't that bad though.

Someone that worked with my mom back in the day was put to sleep at the dentist and had to be revived before it was done.  So that always gave me incentive to just stay awake.

sleep. Nothing wrong with skipping one or two hours of endless torment.  My patients have two options: they can choose between a hit with my knife- wrench or a bottle of booze. Most people prefer the knife wrech since there are no extra-costs. I guess that'd be the 'sleep' method

yeah i got my wisdom teeth pulled while i was awake, they totally numb your whole face and it even numbs parts of your chest...it was kewl seeing them shove those pliers on your wisdom teeth and totally tearing them out and seeing how long your wisdom teeth really are...and bloody...
