After keystyling, and posting under M Dogg since October of 1999, it's time for a change, Ladies and Gentelmen, I give to you Scrappy, which was my nickname I got when I was 12. I was 5'8" and 130 pounds, so I was really skinny then. But hey, it stuck, so heys Scrappy.

21 years ago, something wasn't right
A child was born, but it was a fight
It was during a storm, but he still saw the light
He was coming out slow, so momma pushed with all her might
Fuck that, he knew what was ahead
Momma was on drugs, when he was 19, she'd be dead
Poppa was crazy, and beat that ass in a second
The child would grow angry, when someone was hurt innocent
Hey he had to raised himself
The only thing to eat was the can soup on the shelf
One can a day, so that it can last
The water was shut off, plus his sister got half
If not the whole damn bowl
He would starve, but hey a nine he was already grown
Mom was out high, well daddy was at work
Everything seemed fine when you saw the family at church
But trouble was brewing, it just couldn't be
Prediction said he'd be dead by 23
So as he struggle, a strive to get the best he could
He wanted to raise up from his no good birth
A burden on his dad, that ain't made up
Momma broke out, guess we outta luck
Shit, I take my anger out on paper so ya'all can fell

Trying to fake like you the best, well I'm hungry for a meal
Trying to save me, well fuck your help for real
You weren't there to get me a candy bar
Gangstaz are bad, shit they got me this far

Vets, O.G.s you now, the real kind
And now that I'm in college, I can get a new life
But fuck that, I'm going back home
My community, I fixing it up for kids to grow
