The Most Slept On Band (In America)
« on: March 02, 2002, 07:42:02 AM »
Sup, Yall.

How Come Nobody On This Board Ever Mentions The Kings Of Rock, OASIS?

We Always Got People Mentioning Staind, Cold, Nickelback, etc., But Nobody Ever Mentions OASIS Even Though It's Obvious They're Friekin HUGE Compared To These Other Bands.  Why Can't They Catch On In America?  It's Common Knowledge That They're Bigger Than The Beatles Ever Were In England, And Here's A Recent Fact That Proves It:

They Recently Announced They Were Gonna Play London, July 5th, And July6th.  They Allowed Tix To Be Sold At 9am This Morning, And Sold 80,000 Tickets In 2 Hours. 2 FRIEKING HOURS!  Think About That For A Second.  80,000 Tickets In 1 City.

Then They Announced Plans To Have Another Show On The 7th In The Same City.

Their First 2 Albums Were Awesome, Their 3rd Was Pretty Good, And Their 4th Was A Totally New Direction, and Still Pretty Good.  Now Their 5th Studio Album Is Coming Out, With All 5 Members Of The Band Writing For Once.  It's Gonna Be Amazing.

Anybody Else Like Oasis?

Man, download ANY of their crap, it all rocks.  Especially the B sides to their singles, they were always hot, anything off of their album "Definately Maybe" is nice, anything off of "The Masterplan" is nice, that's all their b sides...

I love some of Oasis' songs... like "Wonderwall", "D'You Know What I Mean?", "Stand By Me" & more... but I prefer hip-hop music. I can't listen to pop music for long without getting sick... I seriously mean that.

Yeah Man, Everyone Should Know By Now That Oasis Release Better B-Sides Then The Actual Single. All Thier Shit Is Dope Though, From Wonderwall To Don't Look Back In Anger. I've Got 2 Albums From Them, And I Bump Them A Lot!

You downloaded the wrong one!  Hey Hey, My My isn't the single, it's a neil young cover song they've been doing for years.  The single is "The Hindu Times".  The hook goes "God Gave Me A Soul, And Rock N Roll"  Pretty Slammin Stuff.

I like their acoustic stuff, too, I'd like to hear more of it, but this album's gonna be hard as hell, I know there's not gonna be any acoustic stuff on it, lol.

Most of yall only mentioned their stuff from their second album, really, they had a TON of good stuff on their third and fourth albums, too.  "Who Feels Love" off their last album was the best rock song in 2-3 years.

Yea, the new Oasis-joint better be tight, as that last one was a tad bit disappointing. It had some bangers, but the overall wasn't up to no good. Looks like they took their time with this one.
