The song focuses on the hedonistic lifestyle that was prevalent during the 1980s. The lyrics concern a party in which people ignore their problems and merely try to hide behind a facade — an "eminence front." Townshend has introduced the song in live performances with the words, "this song is about what happens when you take too much white powder. It's called 'Eminence Front'."

So ill. You might remember it being used in the first season of Entourage, at a movie premier.

I hate the 80s, i might have been able to somewhat enjoy this song had i not known it was the who, ill give some props on the lyrics, but i cant stand all that electronic 80s crap, this is what the who is all about

Yeah this was definitely The Who on their way out, but aside from those 808 drums, nothing seems out of place for their sound.
