Last week we introduced you to Dee & Teak Underdue of Hallway Productionz in an exclusive interview at the Ice Cube Raw Footage album listening party. Hallway Productionz produced 4 tracks on the new Ice Cube album (which is now in stores) and in this 2nd interview Teak "The Beatsmith" Underdue gives us a track by track break-down of those songs. The 4 songs that we go over are "Why Me?" "Hood Mentality" "Cold Places" and "Thank God."

Enjoy this special exclusive feature. I hope it gives you a further insight to music production.

Yeah, it's true... which is why I just do whatever I want to do.

But Teak was back in Stockton when we did this, so it had to be over the phone. Stockton is way the hell up north.

another hallway article that i want to bring back!  8)

that was a dope breakdown styles!
would be cool if more producers would do such a feature  ;)

the production of Why me is just  :o, it's so good that it gives me the creeps  8)
the production of Thank God is amazing! it has so much power to it

i don't like the production of Hood Mentality; the "southern" touch is the problem for me.

Cold Places is repetitive
