would anyone be down for a fantasy baseball league

We could make our own division to compete amongst ourselves. We would use smallworld.com(or somewhere else if anyone has a better idea), its free and they keep track of the stats for you. You are given a salary cap of $50 to start a team with.  I would set up the division and everything for whoever is interested. Hit me back with ideas if anyone is interested.

Smallworld is less realistic than other fantasy leagues because there is no draft... all you need to do is fit players under a salary cap. You can pick up any players you want at any time provided you have the salary cap room. I would go with a yahoo.com league. The computer auto-drafts teams for everyone involved (and they're usually pretty fair). I'll set one up later and explain the scoring to everyone here. They should be accepting sign-ups for leagues and teams soon (if not this coming week then certainly the next. The beauty of an auto-draft is that you don't need to be there for the draft. I'll explain it later.

ya I was just checking out yahoo and signed a team up, I've never used it before. Im starting to lean towards this route too. We could still do the live draft for the people that can make it and the people that cant can set up there priority list. I think it would be a lot more fun if we did a live draft. ^^^^^(refering to not) Im glad there is another knowledgable baseball person here on the board. This should be fun.

You can't do a live draft and have people set priority lists I don't think. Plus, I doubt many people will stick around long for the draft if they show up. It takes a good 2-3 minutes per draft pick to decide who to choose even if you've planned before hand.
