"Fortunate son" and "Born on a Bayou" stay in rotation for me, but for the most part I never could get in to them. Too folky for my taste.
folky?! to me they are the combination of my 3 fav elements; soul, rock & blues.
So what music genre are they really considered?  I 1st heard of them in the mid 80's.  My songs were
born on the bayou
bad moon rising
Travelin band my no.1
proud mary
lookin out my back door
down on the corner
up around the bend
classic rock? which is pretty much a fake genre
