Ok, here's the complete info about all the projects that Dante & Co have put out on their private forum 8)

2PAC: EVOLUTION
The Definitive Collection
NOTE: tracks have been added but not updated on the tracklists below

Presenting the long awaited OG bootleg reissue set, entitled 2Pac: Evolution. This set represents a history of tracks that have leaked from late 1996 up through today, all in optimum sources and quality, and although the focus is on re-issuing all of the common material in premium quality, the set also features several intriguing bonuses. The mission of this project is not to offer the "best" remasters (a subjective assessment, based on one's own preferences and hinging upon the technology of the day), 2Pac: Evolution is designed to present to you the source material - before the infamous 128kbps encoding spree of 1997-1998 and the seemingly endless transcoding spree that ensues through today. You will notice striking differences in many songs that are commonly referred to as

Tracks in red indicate brand new content exclusively for the THC. None of the tracks in red have been available before.

2Pac: Vault Access Volume 1

On the heels of Evolution we're back with a new project! On January 4, 1996, the Death Row camp performed a concert in Ohio that was groundbreaking. Perhaps 2Pac's first live show on Death Row, the songs he performed were brand new to the audience as All Eyez on Me did not see a release until a month and 9 days later! The show begins with an opening DJ Quik set that lasts around 5 minutes, then 2Pac and crew (Outlawz, Mopreme, and Syke) hit the stage for about 10 minutes, with Tha Dogg Pound as the main act with about 30 minutes of stage time. The whole crew is on and off stage throughout. We've also added about 25 minutes of bonus material as a nice surprise. Perhaps most exciting is the presence of some new audio!

Independent from the work to secure the footage, two songs were sourced directly from a producer at Death Row. The first, and most exciting is "Welcome 2 Deathrow," an unheard Danny Boy song featuring 2Pac meant as the introduction to his unfinished solo album. The song has a mellow beat and was recorded during the AEOM sessions. 2Pac drops an 8 bar verse, and in usual fashion also an ad-libbed speech section where he talks about Danny Boy. Towards the end of the song, Danny Boy shouts out the vocalists (Michel'le, Stacie Smallie, Troy) and each of them is singing their part of the chorus. According to our source Amaru doesn't have this and the reels might be lost. This may indeed be the only place this audio ever leaks, and once again it's a THC exclusive!

Length: 03:50 min.
Pacs Verse + him talking: ~ 01:17 min
Prodcuced by Hurt Em Badd, Kurt Kobane & DJ Quick
Engineered by Lance Pierre & Carlos Warlick
Recorded in November 1995 at Can Am Studios (Studio B)

As a bonus in the deal for the Danny Boy song, the source offered a remix of "When We Ride on Our Enemies" that should not be considered 100% legit, but still very interesting. The source said that this remix is part of the One Nation project and apparently was produced in 1996, however it more likely was done with the recently leaked acapellas, as the singing chorus is absent and there are vocals from 16 on Death Row added to the very end of the song. The instrumental is dope, however, and resembles the Hail Mary beat mixed with some Runnin' On E.

The bonus audio is included in the root directory of the DVD, and if you pop the DVD into your computer you will be able to access a BONUS_AUDIO folder that contains the following:

Welcome To Death Row.wav
When We Ride On Our Enemies (Unreleased Remix).mp3
- Welcome To Death Row (2Pac Version) (Dante Remaster R3-10-5).wav
- Welcome To Death Row (Dante Remaster R3-10-5).wav

There is some VERY interesting information regarding the source of this material, and we'll share that in the discussion forum for this project (which will be a sub-forum of Evolution). This is also part one of two, and we hope to have the second part available in a month. This project is optional for now, but will become required for promoted access in a couple months... Basically we appreciate that new material is great, but we all have real bills.

NTSC and PAL encodes are available.
Price: $89.99 (essentially the cost of recovering the sourcing investment)
PayPal: payment@2pacdvds.com (be sure to denote NTSC or PAL! we'll ship NTSC by default unless specified)
Covers: covers will ship with Volume 2 in a month or more
Specs: 4.29 GB, a little over an hour of total footage, 2 audio files, 2 remasters

Ship date: October 1 (or sooner based on response)
As with Evo, Dante is shipping Europe and Australia, G has USA and Canada
Downloadable on October 1 (or even before then, but password locked until October 1)

2Pac Death Row EP Volume I

Thanks to the efforts of Schreibs, Lost Skanless, Dante, and Prophet, we’re happy to present the first of several scheduled 2Pac Death Row era EP projects. Similar to the Deon deal but also a bit different, this material was sourced at a very high price but on a per-track basis. The costs of sourcing the material of this and each future EP are calculated over the number of projected buyers to arrive at the per unit/member cost. These projects will be distributed as wave file digital downloads via FTP, and after we’ve amassed enough material for a DVD or CD we’ll send out a hardcopy.

The first EP is available to everyone who have purchased Too Gangsta For Radio Volume 2 and contains the following tracks, all pulled from masters and in top quality (think the catalog DATs in terms of quality):

1. Ballad Of A Dead Souljah.wav
2. Niggaz Nature with Val Young.wav
3. If There's A Cure with Snoop Doggy Dogg.wav
4. Borrowed Times (Chelle featuring 2Pac).wav
-bonus-
5. Ballad Of A Dead Souljah (Chorus Hooks).wav
6. Ballad Of A Dead Souljah (2Pac Hooks).wav
7. If There's A Cure with Snoop Doggy Dogg (Cleaned).wav

Ballad Of A Dead Souljah sounds similar to what is released but incorporates the actual sample and not a replay. There is some nice congo drum sounding percussion and an extended outro. Curious is that the first hook is the same singers as on retail, but subsequent hooks are 2Pac solo. I’ve therefore made both hook permutations consistent and included these mixes as bonuses. Niggaz Nature sounds very similar to the Too Gangsta For Radio retail release, but has an extended instrumental outro and of course dramatically different hooks. If There's A Cure is probably the most exciting song here, with all new vocals from 2Pac and Snoop and a sample and interpolation of the Diana Ross song. There is minor hiss feedback that I removed in the bonus cut. Finally, Borrowed Times is the long sought after debut song from Chelle, who would have been signed to 2Pac’s label had things gone differently. The honest truth is that the singing is poor at best and 2Pac appears for all of 10 seconds on the song, but nonetheless this is a significant song for us to have acquired.

Recently someone has been shopping around a similar tape to the Thug Life Demo and as an added bonus we’re including it on this release. These songs may or may not leak, we really don’t know. As of yet the details of the source are sketchy at best, but fortunately we were able to acquire them without needing to trade anything at all. Don’t rely on other such bonuses to fall into our laps in subsequent EPs, but we’ll do our best to sweeten the pot whenever possible. The tracks are as follows:

8. Bury Me A G (Rip III).wav
9. Lord Knows (Version II).wav
10. Only Fear Of Death (Version II).wav
11. R U Still Down (Rip II).wav
12. Dear Mama (Version II).wav
13. Out On Bail (Main Pass) (Rip II).wav
14. Str8 Ballin (Version II).wav

All of these songs seem to be unique and new rips, and all of them are better quality than we’ve had before. Dear Mama, Lord Knows, and Str8 Ballin’ are a little different to the PNP original versions, so I’d label them as Version II. The shining star of course is R U Still Down. Again, these tracks may or may not leak in time – we can’t be sure since we were not the original sourcers – but all of us will definitely enjoy the original versions we had only in poor quality before.

We’ll begin accepting payments now, and will upload the EP1 + Bonus to a FTP with download details and archive password to be sent via forum private message to all buyers on April 1. Any buyers after April 1 will receive this information shortly after they submit payment. Tentatively we have planned EP2 for May 1, and a full CD from Lost Skanless on June 1 (these dates may get pushed back, but this is the original goal). At $250 for each EP we definitely appreciate that this is a lot of money to come up with so rapidly, but we are spacing the projects so close together to try to get some of the sourcing costs back so that we can acquire more. Currently we have some incredible opportunities that are a bit limited by the amount we’re able to front on behalf of the THC. If it takes you a couple months to buy the coming projects it’s ok, we’ll keep the V1 and V2 forums active with general talk and the EPs will be ready whenever you are.

That said, this is the beginning of a very exciting year in terms of new Death Row material!

Death Row EP II

following up on ep1, ep2 is now available. skanless, schreibs21, prophet and i have secured another batch of death row era songs for your enjoyment with more in sight! it's also interesting how some projects have begun to relate to each other. you'll see what i mean in a bit... below are the songs contained in this project:

When I Get Free (Death Row Version)
Fame
Never Call U Bitch Again (Mix Draft)
Don't Sleep

these songs were purchased from exclusive sources who may be the only private parties with the material so they are indeed gems, however it's a double edge sword because two of the four songs have some slight problems to them that very much illustrate the songs' unfinished nature. we were spoiled by the catalog dats, that's for sure.

when i get free is of course the death row re-do that pac created. what's interesting is that the previously unknown song from the samples dat (on vault access volume 2) that samples al b. sure! is actually when i get free. that makes perfect sense since that samples dat reflected possible inclusions for the all eyez on me album. this track is absolutely flawless quality and you can hear a minor mess up in the intro with pac quickly correcting himself (you can hear that on retail as well, but it's less evident). like some other recent acquisitions, this one has an extended instrumental outro as well. this is easily the highlight of the project.

fame is another interesting one. the beat is very similar to retail, but we're treated to new verses from kokane, edi, and spice-1 in addition to the 2pac and yaki material we already know. 2pac adlibs throughout almost the whole track (even making chicken sounds lol). you can tell that this song hasn't been mastered as carefully as the catalog dats material because each verse is a little quieter than the previous. it's really nothing to nit-pick about, however, because you can hear everyone just fine. it's a long track and awesome to have in its full glory. amaru had claimed it was unfinished and almost unusable back when they published it, but we know a much different story now.

never call u bitch again is definitely a mixed blessing - we finally get to hear the original version but at a price. the intro and verse one contain both the verses for the explicit and a changed-lyric clean version simultaneously, verse two is the normal explicit version only, and verse three has the instrumental misaligned so the final hook is happening throughout pac's last verse. we get to hear the hook at long last (is it jewel or val?) and the beat is actually remarkably different to the normal never be peace beat we all know and expected. i've improved my og vibe to incorporate the singing hooks and that is included on the ep. this song seems to be a mix draft that was not yet completed (somewhat similar to the hit em up draft on evothc).

last, don't sleep is another highly sought after original, but again it comes at a cost. the instrumental itself is a lot different than expected, with the guitar melody being very airy and not as upfront as you might expect. additionally the vocals are mixed pretty loudly over the instrumental, so the song has a very unique feel to it in playback. i blame daz, since this was one of the ogs he produced. the guy was always horrible at mixdowns (think don't go to sleep soul g remix) and i think that's evident here. i have some fixes, but this one isn't on the same playing field as the first three in terms of overall sound quality. still, one less on the grocery list.

i've also included a ton of remasters created over the course of april after i've developed some new techniques. i've revisited euphanasia (it's flawless cdq now and rivals a retail release), thug life demo, the bonus content from ep1, and a lot more. some songs sound a bit clearer, others you'd think were pulled from cd. overall i am VERY pleased and imo the songs have new playback value. it's always hard to bump a shaky sound quality song so it's almost like getting new songs all over again. you'll see what i mean.

anyway, as usual the content is on the V2 ftp and in the event that you have lost the login info it will be supplied to you along with the password as a reply to your paypal payment (so check the email account you linked to your paypal). feel free to discuss the content in the drep1 forum.

These people are pathetic.Holding on to scraps of music and protecting it.Selling it at obscene prices.Music is to be shared and heard not buried in some nerds vault. If I had the chance I would rape these peoples family members in front of them and then in the ultimate insult send a link out of all their hidden music while they watched. Then kill them.

Koch Nu-Mixx 2 Studio Acapellas

What are we getting?
You are getting the original tape-to-tape sessions, as converted to Pro Tools sessions by Daz. This includes all layers by Tupac, Outlawz, and Dogg Pound. How Do U Want It has the least amount of layered trx (3 or 4), but that's just the way it was recorded. The other 3 sessions were more extensive in their recordings. The only thing not included in the sessions is the music, as Daz removed it.
Pain is the only one that is a 2-track (stereo) and not a Pro Tools session, but that it all we ever received. You are purchasing the exact same package that Koch bought for over $50k.

What's on the list?
Full multi-layer versions of:
Pain (Solo but Stretch is boostable) (just the stereo acapella)
How Do U Want It (2 vocal tracks, 3 percussion tracks!)
Initiated w/ Daz & The Outlawz (full master reel with all 23 tracks used to make the song!)
War Games w/Napoleon, Edi, Noble and Kadafi (8 layers of vocals!)
Don't Stop w/DPG (10 layers of vocals!)
-bonuses added by dante to sweeten the pot-
House Of Pain (Bad Boy Remix) f/Stretch & Biggie
Pain (Nu-Mixx Demo Remix) Instrumental
Pain (Nu-Mixx Demo Remix) Before Guest Vocals Were Recorded
Pain (Nu-Mixx Demo Remix) w/Styles P & Butch Cassidy
Don't Stop (Nu-Mixx Version 1)
How Do U Want It (Nu-Mixx Unreleased Hard Mix)
How Do U Want It (Nu-Mixx Unreleased Soft Mix)
Picture Me Rolling (Nu-Mixx Demo Remix) w/Kurupt & Butch Cassidy
Got My Mind Made Up (Nu-Mixx Demo Remix) w/Daz & Kurupt
Initiated (Nu-Mixx Demo Remix) w/Smith N Wessun & Buckshot (not sure if same as retail)
Lost Souls (Nu-Mixx Demo Remix) w/M1
Don't Stop (Nu-Mixx Demo Remix) w/Fatal Hussein
Wanted Dead Or Alive (Nu-Mixx Demo Remix)
Hail Mary (Nu-Mixx Demo Remix - July Fix) w/The Outlawz
Don't Stop (Nu-Mixx Demo Remix) Instrumental
The first leak of the Nu-Mixx 2 album in the event there are any differences.
What's Ya Phone # Promo CD:
01 What'z Ya Phone # w/Candy Hill (Clean)
02 What'z Ya Phone # w/Candy Hill (Dirty)
03 What'z Ya Phone # w/Candy Hill (Instrumental)
04 Picture Me Rollin' w/Kurupt & Butch Cassidy (Clean)
05 Picture Me Rollin' w/Kurupt & Butch Cassidy (Dirty)

What format?
For the acapellas - Wav files are no problem
Everything else will come in the formats received. There will be no transcoding.

Delivery
There will be no cover since this is a rush job, but we'll ask pappa to make one. It would be cool to use the same cover photo. The item itself will be a data-dvd.

Too Gangsta For Radio Vol. 2

Added tracks:
Catchin' Feelings (Remix) (Dante's Solo Mix)
Don't Call Me, Bitch (2009 Remix) (Dante's Solo Mix)
Don't Call Me, Bitch (2009 Remix) (Dante's Solo Mix - Minimal Singing)

Payment details: $65

Shipment:
This project will be a .wav digital download via FTP. Payments will be accepted beginning now and FTP credentials will be PM'd to you on April 1.

Long term:
We understand that this project may only be mildly exciting to some, but it is a trial run for future collaborations with a new source. If this goes according to plan it helps pave the way for a lot more exciting things. If we are successful, every few projects down the road we will ship hardcopies - this project included. Prophet will be creating new levels when she returns, so at that time we will lay out the architecture for this year's projects. That being said, the 2pac songs on this project are actually pretty good, so the $65 price tag does seem pretty reasonable, all things considered. Consider your purchase of this project as an invitation to the big show in about a month :) ...Initially the plan was for this project to be public and private (hence the "only for the THC" note in the tracklist) but the current plan is for it NOT to be sold public. if this changes we will have some discussions first, and in the unlikely event it is sold public it will be degraded and likely tagged.

it's the original mix for kurupt's death row against the grain album and imo it easily trumps the nate dogg version and the retail kurupt version. it's kinda long for the song, but the beat breathes new life into the 2pac verse which prior to this version i had all but ignored.

don't call me, bitch was remixed apparently without amaru approval (meaning the reel is out there somewhere and thankfully not ashes from shock's fire) for a planned soundtrack release; however amaru did not allow clearance and so it is officially scrapped. ti drops a fast 8 bars and is better not even there in my opinion, hence the bonus versions of my making. the intro is new and the song itself is actually quite good. definitely the shining moment of this release. catchin' feelings remix is also pretty well done and song is pretty much acapella until 2pac's second bar in his verse so you can hear a lot of the dissing talk intro that seems to have been hidden behind the beat in the og. the ygd song is a little disappointing as it uses a non-talkbox acapella version of the wwmf acapella, however this version is also available on a rare promo vinyl i upped to the evoretail thc so any one of us could have done the same. additionally 2pac's lyrics have nothing to do with the rest of the song's concept.

Nuttso - The Betrayal

Released only on cassette in 1996, Nutt-so's The Betrayal was an underground sleeper that initially did not find its way much farther than the indie Bay Area scene. Much like the EMG album, Nutt-so primarily sold this album out of his trunk and in a very limited number of local record stores. It was during his work on this album that Nutt-so linked up with 2Pac, resulting in the recording of Words 2 My First Born (Things Are Changing), Ghetto Star, This Life I Lead, and several other original tracks.

All was not good with The Betrayal, as it was plagued with some problems beyond its very limited distribution. The manufacturer of the album used high speed dubbing to produce the product rapidly and cheaply, resulting in rather poor sound quality throughout the cassettes. Additionally, the B-side of the album was presented in far worse quality than the A-side. To add insult to injury, Nutt-so's team did not hold the master (or even a dub of the master) of the song with 2Pac, so again quality suffered even more. In fact, the song with 2Pac was never officially approved by Death Row Records for placement on the album and a cassette dub from the mixed down demo version (without the sax or chorus layers added yet) was smuggled out of the studio and this is the version that was placed on The Betrayal. What this means is that the B-side was already bad, and the 2Pac song is essentially dub of a dub on top of that.

This album was never released on CD, and likely will never see an official re-issue. G.O. Twice, the primary producer of the album has a very rocky relationship with Nutt-so, and the two publicly feuded over the public leak of a few tracks - including Don't Sleep (G.O. Twice Remix). From our perspective, we saw G.O. Twice link up with Candyman187 (fraud) back when he was helping with the Son Rize album, and Don't Sleep was given to him. Candyman187 in turn gave the song to me to remix or cpu gen the vocals (lol) but at the same time also sold the song to UKI, who sold it to Nino, who posted it on his short lived hoodstars website. Nutt-so became aware of the leak almost instantly, and blamed G.O. Twice since they were the only two people in possession of song. Since then I have not heard a nice word between them...

For sale is the album as it should have been - a fully digital and uncompressed wave rip of the studio master reels. Our version of the album is presented in perfect digital quality and no tracks have any noticable flaws. No remastering was necessary whatsoever, so what you will receive is the pure quality, unaltered album. The one exception to the album's flawlessness is that due to the story about Words 2 My First Born (Things Are Changing) above, that single song was still in relatively poor quality even on this studio version of The Betrayal. Quite honestly, I do not believe that 2Pac intended the song to be on Nutt-so's album since it is really a 2Pac featuring Nutt-so song and not the other way around. The fact that Nutt-so doesn't have the masters seems to solidify that notion. As always, and even in 1996, having 2Pac on your album means a lot and will indeed mean more sales.

Nutt-So - The LA Sessions ADAT

after much drama, we're ready. here's a synopsis of the events surrounding this tape:

after winning an expensive ass auction i received the tape. what seemed to possibly contain the reel tracks of ghetto star actually ended up containing nutt-so's main and double vocal layers, as well as danny boy and the synths. there are a total of six tracks on this tape, each containing 4 unmixed layers:

Geto Starr - Nutt-So Vocals 1, Nutt-So Vocals 2, Danny Boy, Synths 1, Synths 2, Synths 3, Timecode
Ridahs Of The Storm - Nutt-So Vocals 1, Nutt-So Vocals 2, Nutt-So Vocals 3 (shouts out dante), Timecode
Where Are We Going - Nutt-So Vocals 1, Nutt-So Vocals 2, Nutt-So Vocals 3, Timecode
Ride Into The Sunset - Vocals 1, Vocals 2, Vocals 3, Hook Vocals 1, Hook Vocals 2, Hook Vocals 3, Timecode
Recipe Of A Thugg - Guitar, Vocals 1, Vocals 2, Vocals 3, Hook Vocals 1, Hook Vocals 2, Timecode
After Party - Vocals 1, Vocals 2, Guitar, Hook Vocals 1, Hook Vocals 2, Timecode
We At War? (UNLISTED) - Vocals 1, Vocals 2, Vocals 3, Hook Vocals 1, Hook Vocals 2, Hook Vocals 3, Timecode
DON'T SLEEP!!!!!! FEATURES NAPOLEON'S VERSE, NUTT-SO'S HOOK, KADAFI'S VERSE, NUTTSO'S VERSE, NUTT-SO ADLIBS DON'T SLEEP ...inst is boostable and so is pac!!
it's a shame that we didn't get the 2Pac layers, but that's life. this tape is labeled 3/3 and what used to be done is these old svhs tapes would be set up in three recorders in series such that each deck was recording 4 stereo tracks (layers) at a time and together they'd look like this:

MIXED SONG = 12 mixed stereo tracks (aka 24 tracks)

we got tape 3, so bu chance it didn't have 2pac's parts. 2pac can be heard in the layers as headphone bleed through, however, so he *may* be able to be isolated. we'll see.

Price: $69.99
PayPal: "payment@2pacdvds.com"
Covers: ships inside evo as disc 9

to be up front with you all, i also tried to get the money back through a paypal complaint. ultimately i stated that the tape arrived blank and useless. paypal agreed to refund $250 of my $508 only if i 1) returned the tape to the seller and 2) the seller approved. well i did return *a* tape to the seller - i scanned the label on the tape and printed off a replica, then used magic marker to trace his writing. therefore it seems he has the tape but we have the original and only copy. therefore do not be alarmed when the tape goes back up on ebay... it will be blank. unfortunately despite my efforts paypal decided that what was delivered was as stated in the auction and despite my proof of a return, the refund is on the the seller's prerogative. i am still battling this out, but as expected with paypal i cannot see this amounting to anything. if we do in fact get some money back (we won't) i will apply that amount to the cost of hosting this site instead of trying to refund a couple dollars here and there. the site is costly for g (especially) and i to run, so it seems fair.

that all being said, it was a pleasure to get together on this project, even though we didn't exactly get what we had really hoped for. i will recreate a fastlane legacy mixdown by using the danny and synths to boost what is already there on the bd mix and include that with the nutt-so dvd.

Vault Access Volume 2

Initially conceived to be another video project, Vault Access: Volume 2 has become too exciting to wait for the anticipated video portion to arrive so we're pushing forward as an audio-only project. Again, this project reflects the ream efforts of Outlaw_Tupac, Dante and Prophet; and contains some very exciting items.

As part of a follow up deal with Kobane, Outlaw_Tupac was able to secure a DAT tape that was given to Interscope for the purposes of sample clearance. Kobane told us that he had no idea what was on the tape, but thought he remembered it to contain instrumental snippets of the All Eyez on Me album, however upon receipt we learned that it was not the finished instrumentals but rather the actual samples. Interestingly there is an unidentifiable Al B. Sure! sample which seems to represent an unleaked, unknown 2pac song. The contents are below:

Samples DAT
01 Ratha Be Ya N.I.G.G.A..wav
02 How Do U Want It.wav
03 Shorty Wanna B A Thug.wav
04 Shorty Wanna B A Thug.wav
05 Picture Me Rollin'.wav
06 Struggle Continues.wav
07 Thug Life.wav
08 Life Goes On.wav
09 Better Dayz.wav
10 All Eyez On Me.wav
11 Unknown.wav
12 Still I Rise.wav
13 Secretz Of War.wav
14 All About U.wav
15 Wonda Why They Call U Bytch.wav
16 Hit 'Em Up.wav
17 Tradin War Stories.wav

The tape was ripped into one file, so I have also gone in and looped each sample for about 5 minutes. Despite the initial disappointment, there are some extremely interesting information and material to digest. Still, it does disappoint that the real instrumentals were not contained. Unfortunately things would take a significant turn for the worse before looking better...

As I have posted, we made a deal with Scorpio of the Furious 5 (Grandmaster Flash). Outlaw_Tupac again established the communication and I spent a few hours on the phone finishing the deal. Scorpio seemed nice enough (for a now washed up nobody) but was unable to provide any clips of the song he claims he recorded with 2pac because he needed our money to transfer the master to CD format. As he seemed genuine, we pushed forward with the deal. Ultimately the song was sent via an email that was forwarded from Scorpio but was originally sent by Young Noble. As you already know, the song ended up being How Many Shots will it Take? The rip seems to be different than the old one nation bootleg rip, and so we've included the song and a remaster on the project:

How Many Shots will it Take?
How Many Shots Will It Take (Rip II).mp3
How Many Shots Will It Take (Rip II) (Remastered).wav

We sincerely appreciate the support you all gave us in recovering some of our losses. The amount of money paid for the song was substantial and to this day I still harass Scorpio and his manager for half of our money back and despite their incessant promises nothing will ever come of it - I simply want to make them have to endure my annoyances as a way to earn their free payday. After the second strike in a row we were beginning to wonder if acquiring new 2pac stuff was even possible anymore...

After months of negotiations and conversations with Nutt-So I finally achieved some headway. Nutt-So is re-recording a lot of his old songs and initially was interested in the ADAT material for the guest appearances. Unfortunately the only significant appearance was Lil' Big and Nutt-So was uninterested. I do think that be believed we had a ton of 2pac/Nutt-So acapellas to offer and when reality struck he disappeared for a long time. Thankfully I was able to work my magic with Charlie-O, who produced the Fastlane legacy remix of Geto Starr, and secured the 2pac vocals from that remix. The downside is that the vocals are one layer (no double layer), one verse instead of two, and the custom-made intro is included but no extended outro. I was able to re-create the Geto Starr OG acapella using a CPU genned verse 2 and a CPU doubles layer, which I will post in the Vault Access Volume 2 forum later. The icing came shortly after the acapella, as I was able to also secure the master files to the remix:

Synths.wav

We felt pretty confident in things again, and fortunately so! Outlaw_Tupac resumed contacting people for possible deals and loe and behold, Sam Sneed was receptive to a deal. I got on the phone immediately and spoke for an hour about Sam, 2pac, and Death Row. The story goes something along the lines that Sam was finishing his solo album around the time 2pac came to Death Row. As Sam was working on a track in Room A at Can Am Studios 2pac rolled in and was amazed at the sounds he heard. Sam said that 2pac was jocking him pretty hard for a beat for his All Eyez on Me debut on Death Row and when Sam played him an instrumental 2pac immediately took the first thing he heard. What came of this instrumental is the song Immortal:

Yes, you see before you a full 24 track master reel of an unleaked 2pac song!! There are so many interesting things here that it's hard to know where to start. It seems that this track was the introduction to 2pac's Outlaw Immortalz concept, and in the song he also seems to debut his Makaveli alias, actually pronouncing it more like Mach-a-vally. Additionally, Fatal appears and is dubbed Fatal Komeni. As we all know Mopreme was the one with that Outlaw monicker, so it seems that he received sloppy name seconds after Fatal adopted the Hussein alias instead. Appearing on the track with a brief intro and one long verse is 2pac, then Fatal and Yaki, a verse from EDI, and finally a verse from Syke. There are no hooks, though space for hooks is present thus indicating that the track was left incomplete perhaps in favor of Tradin' War Stories later better fitting the bill of an Outlaw Immortalz posse cut.

The smoothness of the deal was due to Outlaw_Tupac's smooth words in the beginning stage, mine to close and maintain the deal, but perhaps most importantly was the prospect of us being able to help Sam finally release his Death Row album. You see, Sam left Death Row because Dre's departure fostered an environment in which he was not welcome so after 2pac and the Outlawz attacked him from the back in a studio room and beat the hell out of him (the Recognize video beatdown was a rumor he said) as a favor to Suge, Sam stole his master reels and left. I approached Koch with the project and they are receptive to release his album - perhaps even as the first project when they win the Death Row assets in late December. Included in the project is a folder of bonus files, containing 1:30 snippets of 11 of Sam's album tracks (assembled for Koch to preview) and more:

Hopefully we will get access to Sam's album's master files since we're essentially handing Koch the deal with no work required on their part. When you hear these instrumentals you'll see how great our 2pac exclusives would sound over these dark gfunk sounds (by the way Sam also produced Natural Born Killaz and Keep Their Heads Ringing but sold both to Dre flat out for $20,000 each). Also included in the bonuses:

LG Instrumentals Secured From OOB Deal (27 full-length instrumentals LG had composed from 1994 to 2005)

Trapped (Version 1) (U-Matic Promo Rip).VOB (Brownsuga had posted a VHS rip, and this is a U-Matic rip. It's not terribly better, but simply another source.)

The project is obviously a data DVD and reflects a LOT of work and investment on our parts. The price is designed to cover the investment costs and put a little extra in the bank for the next deal. We're hopeful that with some funds in reserve we'll be able to sleep a bit better with future prospective deals. We've already begun on the next round, so it's great to say that the end is far from near!

So now that you've read all this text, here's a preview! I'm sure you'll agree that this is one of the most exciting acquisitions to come to the THC.

A PREVIEW IS AVAILABLE IN THE V1 LEVEL FORUM

TO PURCHASE

This project and Evolution Disc 10 (Supplement 1) will be available for FTP download on December 5. We will also ship hard copies (of both Evo 10 and Vault 2), probably around Christmas. For the Euros who received defective Vault Access Volume 1 DVDs you will receive a replacement with this shipment. If we're able to get a cover from Pappa that too will be included.

Payment - $299.99

A forum for Vault Access Volume 2 has already been created and as you complete payment (or installments) your access mask will be updated to see that forum. Items like the re-creation of Geto Starr OG acapella mentioned and Immortal remixes will have a home there, along with some very interesting conversation!

The Acapellas Level 4

We have had several requests for the leaked acapellas in pure quality, and in all layers available, so as an additional project we are offering 2Pac - The Acapellas. This is a no-frills release of all of the unofficially leaked acapellas in their original formats. Two main batches of acapellas leaked during the past few years, so below are the stories and what is encompassed in each batch:

Batch 1: (12.XX.2004)
Amaru began its participation in the unofficial mixtape circuit as a way to promote 2Pac buzz prior to the movie and soundtrack Resurrection. DJ Vlad, DJ Dirty Harry, and DJ Green Lantern were sent a batch of 2Pac acapellas through the internet (in mp3 format) for use in what would become the Rap Phenomenon Part II mixtape. While Amaru took legal action against competiting mixtapes such as Lt. Dan's (arguably superior) Pacaveli, MTV and Amaru promoted the Rap Phenomenon Part II mixtape very heavily in their twin MTV television specials on the Resurrection movie and soundtrack.

Enter the leaking. DJ Vlad traded a few acapellas with me, but due to my reputation tried to milk me dry in exchange for very little. Knowing that if he sought me out surely he was doing the same with others, I held back and waited for a leak. As it turns out, Vlad was not very secure with his data, and left these acapellas in the music folder that he was sharing on Limewire. An uneducated little toddler named Ellio Charles (Lyrical Militant / LM45z) happened to be browsing Limewire for music when he came across this batch, which he subsequently downloaded. As always, crooks and idiots always beef, and after I sent proof to Ellio that his "friend" Abatino was trying to sell the acapellas on ebay via 221's account, Ellio asked that I buy to leave negative feedback (which I gladly did - see my feedback as daz_owes_me_money HERE and in return he'd sell me the acapellas. Because I had already gotten a few acapellas from Vlad I was able to verify that the files received from Ellio were not re-encoded, as the file sizes of the ones I already had matched perfectly to the ones from Ellio down to the byte.

Batch 1

Batch 2: (02.24.2005)
Makaveli Branded, Amaru's official clothing line, has always had an interesting relationship to its parent company. For whatever reason, Makaveli Branded's Marketing Director, Rick Edwards, was given access to a rather random assortment of 2Pac tracks that were believed to all be acapellas (there were also a few fully mixed songs present such as Don't Stop the Music and There U Go). Rick contacted some DJs to create exclusive mixes that would be played during Makaveli Branded fashion shows, eventually coming to an agreement with DJ Butta (not the original Butta, but the one on the message boards for a short time who put out his own mediocre mixtapes). In the end Butta betrayed Rick's trust and not only made his own mixtapes that he sold for his own profit, but he also sold Ellio these same acapellas. Ellio in turn attempted to sell these acapellas one by one to people on the scene for the small price of $500 each (lol). Aaron Carey (UKI) bought Komradz with the help of 221 and company, and sent it to G. Hagan (Warpath) who made a remix Aaron tried to sell as the original. In the end Ellio lowered his price to include nearly all of the acapellas and after a couple sales they all leaked. It is noteworthy that not everything leaked... Ellio preferred to sell fully mixed versions of acapellas instead of all of the layers independently, and therefore not everything is available publicly (such as 2Pac's backing vocals to Thugs Get Lonely Too hooks). After the leak I contacted Rick personally and arranged for the same discs to be sent to me. Amaru had caught wind of the leak and disciplined Rick rather harshly, so he was actually quite eager to rid himself of the discs. The conclusion to the story is that this mini project will include all of the Makaveli Branded acapellas in their original wave formats that I ripped from the audio discs from Rick (the non-acapella tracks will all be present on the OG Boot set).

To round things out and fill the capacity of the data DVD that these files will be mailed on (and in the same case as the Nutt-so CD if it is ordered), we've included an assortment of other more common acapellas, including alternate rips. Alternate rips are good because sometimes there are slight flaws that can be removed by using pieces from two different rips. Anyway, this is the list of acapellas present in addition to batches 1 and 2 (note Don't Fuck with a Killa acapella )

Batch 3

Me Against The World (Acapella Solo)
Never Call U Bitch Again (Acapella)
Still Ballin' (Acapella)
Still Ballin' Intro (Acapella)
Data DVD, volume size: 3.9 gigabytes

Ships with RM4, February 21

Ordering Information:
Nutt-so - The Betrayal and 2Pac - The Acapellas will both ship with Remembering Makaveli IV on February 21.

Nutt-so - The Betrayal - $34.99
2Pac - The Acapellas - $34.99

Either CD (or both) of these releases will not count as requirements to access another forum level. They are intended as supplementary projects if people are interested in them. The Nutt-so CD comes with full cover art. The acapellas disc is a data DVD containing the respective mp3 and wave files (nothing has been transcoded or reencoded). If both items are ordered the acapellas will be shipped inside the Nutt-so case. If Nutt-so is not ordered but the acapellas are, the disc will be shipped in its own case.
