hm, i got a remastered the chronic in like 03 or some shit...it had videos and shit on it...how is this different?

  It kind of is like free comic book day. Participating record stores were handing out free samplers from different record companies.
  As far as how "The Chronic: Relit" will be different from the 03 remastered, I would have to say the main difference would be the unreleased tracks. There's speculation on what the previously unreleased tracks will be, but there's supposed to be two. Also, I believe Laura Lavi (the president of Wideawake Entertainment) had claimed that she wasn't too satisfied with some of the previous remastering and thought that they could now do a better job. The album is also supposed to feature artwork that was made for the album back in '92 but was never released. As far as the video material, I'm not sure which videos they'll include and if the dvd will contain any other content.
  I guess when it comes to how different the new version is from the previous releases, we'll probably have to reserve judgement until more information is available. I believe the release date is set for July 7th.

they already dropped a mastered version a few years back, I wouldn't mind Hoe Hopper mastered

Record store day was a national promotion. Unfortunately only certain stores were participating and they tended to be smaller chains, which made it a bit of a drive for me. It was Saturday, April 18th this year. Next year it's April 17th. Here's some more info on it...

I think they're going to do good with this. I hope the 4 CD box set is OG. If all goes well, I'll be ordering other product from Wideawake. The set back is a bit of a let down though. September? How long does it take to create. E1 are good at firing albums out
