I'm not feelin' this all that much... There's a couple joints that stand out somewhat (Cocaine, CREAM 2009), but I just couldn't really get into it.

50's gonna have to come with something special to get my attention these days. His shit is damn generic ever since The Massacre.

that cocaine track isn't bad at all

i agree with you homie...its a laid back type of track, something to chill too
if that's what you're into, then you're better off with Follow my lead as it's a better one IMO.
Dre-like instrumental.

so after having this in rotation for a day... well, after all your hype I expected more. shit ain't bad,but not all that either. I'll set for 3/5 (no luna that ain't bad... it's just average. ;) )

:-\ this street album is just like his albums...i'm only feeling Cream 2009(which would have been better if it weren't for the bullshit talk).
it would make sense if this is leftover material, as the retail album will have more Dre.
not that it's much of a relief, as 50 usually doesn't really get great stuff from Dre IMO.

i was kind of feelin' Follow My Lead, wasn't that bad.

one of the better 3/5 tracks off Curtis lol. :P
agreed ;)

^personally for me, "My Gun Go Off"; but "Curtis 187" was an easy second. 8)
Officer Down ( uncensored) ;)
i'm probably one of the few that liked Come & Go as well

Officer Down was a sick track too.

but i was feelin' Come & Go; but that shit was so overhyped. 50 said it was goin' to be In Da Club pt. 2. :-\

^lmao yeah, the first 4 songs were dope & then it just fell off; i was like "Damn, he might bring some heat"; then i looked at the tracklisting & saw like 7 songs that were on the album that were out for 2 months already & it was just a huge disappointment. :-\

I enjoyed all of Curtis aside from Amusement Park.  Granted it was through multiple listening sessions over the span of 2 years.  Overall, I think the project lacks cohesiveness and fails by attempting to please various fan bases at once.  That's why when I first listened to it I was put off by the album.  It felt like a series of EPs.  He opens up on some grimy material then he moves to R&B influenced tracks, jumps back to the grimy, jumps to pop - too much back and forth.   He needed to narrow down the atmosphere of the album.  Either go straight R&B and pop influenced tracks or go grimy.  Where as he managed to balance both aspects on The Massacre, Curtis felt like too much of the same and more splintered.

My outfit ran me a few G's but none of that will matter if you leave
I used to be an Adam with two Eves and shawtys automatically do me
Excuse me, all that happened before you doesn't matter

would chunky be an appropriate adjective?

Not really, it's just poor lyrically.  I can't take him serious when he talks about shooting people today.
