I see what you're saying. His music can be considered weird, but to my experience I have to really let his albums sink in before I really dig it.

Shoot Frank and The Subtle Art Of The Breakup Song are great songs, however Depart From Me (the album title track) sounds EEEEEEEEEMO lol. I gotta listen to the rest of it first though.
