Too much hype just sets albums up for disappointment.  You get these albums like blaqkout or say hi to the bad guy, and they just get hyped up for so long, and everyone on this forum talks about how they are gonna be classic, and then they are just average albums.  I truely cannot remember the last album that I just felt "wow, this is a true work of art."

the blaqout cd was basically ruined by kurupts lazy ass flows.

Kurupt's lazy flow? Try DJ Quik's wack ass raps. On most of the album his lyrics have nothing to do with the song.

i can agree with that to an extent...i hate when quik gets too preachy.

but seriously hes a producer cats aint lookin to him for crazy lyrics that was kurupts job and yes kurupts flow was lazy....it always is.
he NEVER sounds invigorated or inspired on the mic anymore...he sounds like he is half assing it all the time now.
the only time kurupt is worth a shit is if hes in the middle of a beef, THEN you hear that old aggressive style come out.

shit rosco holds the mic down better then kurupt these says and i never liked rosco that much.

Quik's done on the mic. Exactly why I think he should release instrumental albums from now on. This project suffered because of the direction Quik pushed it. And I think that's why Kurupt came off the way he did. Quik had some dope beats on there. but some of that experimental shit they did had DJ Quik's name written all over it.

so if joe cool draws up an album cover for you that automatically means  classic status GTFO.

i hop the album knocks too but my expectations are low.

It is the Doggystyle/Last Meal theory lol. I hear what you saying though.

Last Meal is one of snoop's best records

Will be buying the album, no matter what. Kurupt is in my top 10 all time.

Who is this "Joe Cool" guy? I'm an artist (see my art thread  8)) and seeing something like that kinda pisses me off a little. I sure hope that he's related by blood to someone important, 'cause every one of his cd covers are.... I wish I could catch a break like that.

Ha, well then that makes sense. In retrospect, after I posted that I thought about it for a second and remembered hearing that a long time ago.
