They re-released the album back in 2002 right near the time Nu Mixx Klassics was released, and another short amount in the UK in 2003

How the fuck you gonna say we comin out with a re-release of The Chronic with "nevere before heard tracks" and none of them are even by Dre. Maybe some of those Snoop tracks are produced by Dre, but really, I had a feeling they wouldn't be droppin any new Dre shit. Not even the Next Episode track, but they got the Dave one? I still am gonna pick it up the day it drops but am not liking the Dre-less bonus tracks.

 Overall, looks pretty good.  A little disappointing that it looks like no new Dr. Dre tracks.  Also, I'm not sure why they seem to be unaware of the fact that Lady of Rage released her
album.  I'm guessing that's just an oversight though.  Being that Death Row is under new ownership now, something like that was bound to happen.  Someone should probably send them an e-mail though to let them know that that particular material has already been released.  Being that this is scheduled for a September 1st release, it's probably too late to change that on here.  But it's something they should probably still be aware of for future releases.  Considering the "unreleased material" is bound to be a major selling point with a lot of people, for all of their future releases, they actually would probably appreciate knowing.
  I'm still waiting for an official announcement from Wideawake about the final track list.  But I would imagine that this list is real.

Why are they releasing unreleased music on a DVD? I mean why not giving a code to download them so you can put it on your ipod or something. I know people will rip it from the DVD and convert it to MP3 files but it would be nice to have the music uncompressed in it's purest form. Ya dig?

You can get higher quality audio from a DVD than you can from a CD so that "uncompressed" argument doesn't make sense.

I'm guessing there were some legal issues with Dre's unreleased material and that is why we're not seeing any unreleased Dre tracks. When they first announced the album they were touting that it had at least 4 unreleased DRE tracks but as it has gotten closer to the release date they were no longer saying the unreleased tracks were Dre ones. I think they should've saved Nigga Named Dave for a "Doggystyle 2" type release. With all the unreleased Snoop from that era like Next Episode, Doggystyle, Dave, Every Single Day, It's On, and Hoe Hopper to name a few, they could at the least make a very bangin Snoop EP just from the Doggystyle era.

I don't really understand why Sno Shot is on there because it appears on both her solo AND Gridlock'd. They could've done a better job picking the unreleased tracks, but it's their first release and I'll be cool with what they got for now and hopefully they learn from their mistakes.

In Lara Levis's last interview it seemed like Dre wasn't too interested in fucking with them, she said the only contact they had was with Dre's lawyers. Probly why no Dre tracks.
