I like it. He is good but for some reason gets raped on almost every Slaughterhouse song, must be his delivery.

He comes correct lyrically so I'm not going to speak on that but his production has improved since Padded Room but the vocals don't sound like they're mixed properly.

There's some bad beats, some decent ones, and some good ones.

The ad-libs like he's a dj are annoying.

Though it's better mastered than Padded Room, he still needs better mixing and mastering.
Cool breeze; I'm hopping out of new Beams
My outfit ran me a few G's but none of that will matter if you leave
I used to be an Adam with two Eves and shawtys automatically do me
Excuse me, all that happened before you doesn't matter
I'm a vision of the future climbing the success ladder
Recline, in the mean time, twenty three shine, diamond bling blind as I rewind

Purchased this, this morning.  Didn't really know what to expect from it, but it's a pretty solid release.  The production on it sounds pretty good to me.  Budden's verses sound pretty nice on here as well.  I've not listened to a lot of Budden's other releases, but I'm starting to think that he's better as a solo artist.  At any rate, overall, the album  delivers.  Also, I wasn't expecting Royce Da 5'9 to appear on "For You," so that was a pleasant surprise.

not trying to compare this to Me Against The World, haven't even listened to it yet.

but see, this is why albums in the Me Against The World days were all concidered perfect classics.

complaining about quality? i haven't listened, but it can't be that bad; i didn't hear anything on Padded Room that was like "WOW, THAT QUALITY/MIXING WAS AWFUL".

things like that are going to take away from the album? c'mon now lol.

downloading now...

Well Buddens solo records always sound like the vocals are too far  if you know what I mean.

i get what you're saying; lemme bump it though.

i just don't like hearing complaints on such small shit that wasn't even a factor in grading albums from back in the day, naww mean?

It depends on how much it bothers you but personally I can't stand the album if the mixing is not proper. That's why Dre is my favorite producer and that's why I tend to like Aftermath affiliated projects; the sound is so clean and polished.

you're right in that aspect.

i guess it just doesn't bother me too bad to the point i can't listen to is.

anyway, just went through the album one time & i think it's amazing; regardless of how biased you think my opinon is, i think it's right up their with his other projects, hence why i like it.

i don't know if i could go as far as saying it's better than Padded Room, but after a few more listens i might be able to say it's close to it.

Cham Click, that's a really stupid comment by you.

Seriously, I'm listening to music.  I'm not just listening to Budden rapping.  He could just write poetry instead if that's all there was to it.

Complaints about the sound of the music are legitimate unless they're absurd.  If a drum sounds like tin cans when they should sound like an explosion, it's bad.  That's not a good thing.

Now it seems I'm saying budden's padded room was complete trash which i'm not but it sounds very much like an underground release.  I mean the perfect example is comparing the same tracks Maino used.  His beats sounded that much better because they were properly mixed and mastered.

There is a way to sound deliberate dirty and grimy without sounding like it was poorly mixed and mastered.

it's never been so bad or so blatantly obvious i said to myself "wow, that's fucking terrible".

that's all, i don't think it's a make or break the album type of thing, unless it's hands down AWFUL, which i don't believe it is.

matter of opinion.
