50 cent? Reggaeton?
« on: August 13, 2009, 11:16:20 AM »
50 cent did a track with a reggaeton group called Wisin y Yandel called “Asi Soy”… apparently they did a video for it too…have you guys heard of this?! 50 is one of my fav rappers of all time, when I heard it was skeptical, but the song is actually really good… it has more of a hip-hop vibe… http://www.myspace.com/wisinyyandel ...the video for the song is on their page

haha

50's been hell of quiet lately.   I wonder how what marketing scheme he's planning to pitch BISD on now.  We all know for damn sure he's going to release a new single.
Cool breeze; I'm hopping out of new Beams
My outfit ran me a few G's but none of that will matter if you leave
I used to be an Adam with two Eves and shawtys automatically do me
Excuse me, all that happened before you doesn't matter
I'm a vision of the future climbing the success ladder
Recline, in the mean time, twenty three shine, diamond bling blind as I rewind

What about some straight up street shit? Get back to his roots? I Get Money worked for him last time and I wouldn't call that a club track

Whatever it is, I'm not sure how much it matters unless it's out of this world on several levels.

First, the beat has to be.
Second, the chorus has to be.
Third, the verses have to be at least decent.
Fourth, it's got to feel genuine.

It seems 50 done got so caught up in the marketing part that he forgot to make dope personal music.  Kid can still spit but eh, whatever.  I'm a download his shit and bump it just like I did Curtis.

His music isn't that bad, it's just not that great.  50 and Banks get too much unnecessary hate.  It's the cool thing to hate G-Unit.

yeah, but it was a different spin off; look at his biggest singles.

In Da Club - the standard for club bangers.
Candyshop - first unreal selling bitch track.
I Get Money - rappin' about his bucks.

he HAS to use one of the three & i would guess that it's going to be a mix of Candyshop & I Get Money, with a In Da Club type beat.

i want some grimey shit, but all you have to do is check the Slaughterhouse sales & he was turned off to that idea lol.

I dunno, Wanksta is what got his shit poppin in the first place, he needs to drop a grimey street single, then follow up with the club banger

Yeah no doubt, I openly support G Unit, especially Banks and Fif. I actually own every album ever dropped by G Unit, except Curtis, the girlfriend copped that one lol...

Nah Curtis had some bangers, it was just rushed and mixed horribly. He's taken his time on this one, I'm expecting something above the Massacre (a very underated album) and almost as good as Get Rich...

no doubt, i was lovin' Forever King even more; but nothing off either of those two discs would become a successful single.

the game is all singles now; Wayne had 3 MAJOR singles, like BEYOND major & sold a millie for each one lol.

Drake should have dropped whatever album he is planning on dropping when Successful & Best I Ever Had were still on top of the world; they still aren't far off the top, but he missed an opprotunity to sell HUGE! :o

50 has to sell out if he wants big numbers or come up with something so creative it works; i just hope it's better than what we've heard. 8)
