1.LOL budden got fucked up, that's sad. Wasn't the Realest on the same level? lol

2. Eh not a surprise, that album had Buzz, Dr. Dre on Production, and has controversy with the We Made You Track.

3.Slaughter House is only selling off its internet following, outside rarely anyone knows who they are. They needed more promotion imo.

IF these numbers stand gotta say real music true skills and lyricism are fucked album sales wise... it's really difficult to be a great lyricist nowadays..  its kinda like you have to tour in order to get paid.

couple of years ago all those guys were right.. when hip hop was in a state of emergency, album sales wise that shit is dead unless you are the focus of the label.. and even then u might not sell shit.

its always been about creating a hit.. but album sales were another way to eat.. nowdays that dont account for shit. i'd say now its more about creating a movement.. for example make white people wanna be thugs like g unit.. create a Craze a new dance shoulder lean,  for you to actually sell some records nowadays...


music has lost its value.. unless your doing party records which create a ton of emotion ( flo-rida, pitbull and the club records u hear) in todays climate 90% of rappers are losing sales wise

Why don't rappers tour more?  That's how every other working band does it.  You work your asses off on tour.  Every 2 or so years you record.  Rinse.  Repeat.   That's the life of a musician.

Slaughterhouse just got off rock the bells a massive tour,theyve been doing lots of small venue clubs in between shows,and their going on tour again with tech n9ne to do 45 shows in 49 nights.So theri doing their part.This is going to be an album like a tech n9ne or an atmosphere,where you dont look at first week sales,you look at sales after its been out for a year.This album will sell by word of mouth and by them touring.When its all said and done i bet this album does 100k.

As far as joe buddens album,the release date was announced less then a week before it came out,the album had no promotion,no single and it was digital only.So under those circumstances id say those numbers are decent.

+ mixing was not done properly, I wouldn't buy any album that is lacking in that department.
