U got some avg. ass shit on there imo lol. Just me though. That Red & Meth lacked any standout tracks at all. Murs was ok I guess. Eminem's was lackluster imo. Let me think of a list here. I can't really rank best to "worst", but this is my list of my top 20 albums of the last 5 years.

Chamillionaire - The Ultimate Victory
Clipse - Hell Hath No Fury
Common - Be
Jay-Z - American Gangster
Joe Budden - The Padded Room
Joell Ortiz - The Brick
Killer Mike - I Pledge Allegiance 2
Lupe Fiasco - The Cool
Nas - Untitled
OutKast - Idlewild
Scarface - Made
Scarface - Emeritus
Slaughterhouse - Slaughterhouse
The Product - One Hunid
T.I. - King
The Game - The Documentary
The Game - The Doctor's Advocate
The Geto Boys - The Foundation
UGK - UGK
Young Jeezy - Thug Motivation 101

mixtapes count?

in that case, i have to throw The Confessional & some Mixtape Messiahs. ;D

did they put "Hip Hop Weekly Series" on CD? i would give that the nod for greatness.

Mine, just a list, not Top 5.

U.G.K - Underground Kingz
Chamillionaire - Ultimate Victory
Young Buck - Buck The World
Scarface - Emeritus
Prodigy & The Alchemist - Return Of The Mac
Prodigy - H.N.I.C. part. 2
Jay-Z - American Gangster
Snoop Dogg - Tha Blue Carpet Treatment
Bun B - Trill

forgot about Buck The World ----> great album.

& i always enjoyed Jay's American Gangster. 8)

lol, i know. :-[

i couldn't think of half of these albums, so i just named whatever came to mind & they all happened to come out this year. :P

i'm bumpin' UV for the first time in 6-7 months & i am realizing how much i loved that album lol. 8)

block obama volume 2 was not a mixtape - it all 100% original material on it, nobody else's beats.

Ya I wouldn't count tapes or street albums. In that case I'd add some more Joe Budden, Crooked I & Bishop Lamont. Rain & J. Cole as well.

i suppose you're right; more of a street album than a mixtape.

Little Brother - The Minstrel Show
Nas - Hip Hop Is Dead
Royce Da 59 - The Album
Self Scientific - Change
Smif N Wessun - Reloaded
Lupe Fiasco - Food and Liquor

I might throw in L.A.X. or Recession for more mainstream albums.

Really?

In my opinion there was only like 3 wack songs off that record. And usually, for me, it's just the opposite. I buy a Hip Hop album now and only enjoy like 3 or 4 songs off it. :D

And honestly, The Documentary and The Big Bang are the only 2 off the top of the head, that are fortunately not like that......(since '05)

Legend of The Fall Offs was my favorite cut off that album.

loved Don't Get Carried Away.

i actually am lookin' through the tracklisting right now, i liked more songs than disliked.

but i don't know, it wasn't anything special to me, just good song. :P

I can understand that.

Haha.

Yes, though, the song Busta ended the album wit....HEAT...perfect banger. Def. can see that being a favorite. Lol. Dark as fuck.
