The carter 3 was more hit than miss and if you add the plenty of quality leaked tracks from the carter 3 sessions it's a really, consistent dope album, arguably modern day classic but since it didn't have the leak tracks it's just a decent album

The problem I have with lil wayne isn't the carter 3 as much as it is everything he's done since then.  he essentially stopped rapping and started this really fucking atrocious "rock" style

LMAO. First time I actually listened to Carter I & II from first track to last and they were dope...and yeah those leaks from III sound pretty good.
He obviously was at his peak on Carter I & II because his earlier and later albums are not that caliber.

LMAO. First time I actually listened to Carter I & II from first track to last and they were dope...and yeah those leaks from III sound pretty good.
He obviously was at his peak on Carter I & II because his earlier and later albums are not that caliber.

i think the carter III could of been his best record TBH. Mannie Fresh and Dr. Dre were BOTH named to be producers on the record and a shitload of dope tracks got leaked way too early which fucked up the album for me at least.
