MICHAEL JACKSON: WHERE IS CHILDREN'S DAY?

In an interview with Vibe magazine, Michael Jackson says he wants to establish "Children's Day."

"There's a Mother's Day and there's a Father's Day, but there's no Children's Day," he says in the interview.

Jackson has two children of his own -- Prince, 5 and Paris, 3 -- and when relaxing at his Neverland Ranch, the self-proclaimed King of Pop likes to have water balloon fights with the kids, complete with slingshots and cannons. The song "Speechless" on his "Invincible" album was written after a particularly spirited water war in Germany.

"Because I am this big kid, and now I get to see the world through the eyes of the really young ones, I learn more from them than they learn from me," continues Jackson in the interview.

Jackson collaborated with author Rabbi Schmuley Boteach to pitch the Children's Day idea to lawmakers in the United States through the charity Heal the Kids, but it didn't catch on and the charity is currently "on hiatus."

I read the interview.... the part about writing a song after having a water balloon fight with kids was questionable..... But I'm not going to judge Micheal in a negetive light, because I've never walked in his shoes.... So on a positive note, I liked the end of the interview where he said that he doesn't even want to put his name on his greatest songs, because they were gifts from the heavens, they just came to him.

I used to ask my mom why there isn't a "children's day", she told "everyday is children's day"

Actually that may be true, the records I try to buy, they threaten to take them away from me and ban them because it's bad for the kids, kids run this world, even the sitcoms, it's adults acting like kids, Pop Music is a bunch of adults acting like kids, fuck the kids..... just playing, but you know what I mean, peace.

It's sad to see channels like MTV adjusting their content to what's appropriate to a 5 year old kid, censoring even the non-offensive words. There should be a adult-version of MTV too, with no censorship and only 2% pop. Oooooh.

I think once mike's kids get old enough to do their own interviews, and their own performances and stuff, we'll get the real story on Mike, and it'll probably be that he's a great father.
