If you lose your car key and the spare key, what do you do?

Contact the dealer, they can usually have a new one cut and programmed for you. Depending on the car it could be up to a couple hundred bucks tho.

it depends on the car. I know with my car, the key was made from the VIN number. I had to order it straight from bmw.

ASK A MECHANIC YOU TRUST, USUALLY THEY KNOW LOCKSMITHS WITH MASTER KEYS.

HALF THE COST DEALERS TRY TO CHARGE YOU.

You can go to the dealer and they do it by VIN. Or you could find a good locksmith that has programmable keys with a chip in it.
