50 Cent is probably the greatest rapper of the last decade.

Clearly, 50 did something that not many rappers are capable of so I'd give him more credit then most people would.   I love all types of music and that include different styles within rap so it amuses me when the lyrical ones complain about the single records being easy to make and pointless.  If that's the case then make one and have the rest of the album be dope hits.   There's more than meets the eye when it comes to shit talking singles.

don't get me wrong; Get Rich or Die Tryin' was a top album of this decade, in my opinon.

i enjoyed The Massacre & even felt a few tracks off Curtis; i thought it was a bigger 50 fan than most of this board.

but i think Eminem is the artist of this decade, hands down; followed by Budden, Kanye, Game & some others (including 50).

depending on his next release

Budden will always be slept on but his influence on the game isn't that great... technically speaking, from a lyrical perspective, he deserves it just like Game deserves to be recognized for his vocal abilities but beyond that i'm not so sure

yeah, Wayne has some songs he puts on mixtapes & shit that are questionable & he isn't a very good "rocker", but this last decade, he has dropped some real dope albums.

i would say just based on all the great music he has dropped in the last decade & how it has gotten progressivly better (IMO), he easily deserves mention.

I'm just saying...

Let me rephrase...

50 Cent is the best mainstream rapper of the past decade.

Any type of commercial genre in Hip-Hop, he will make an above average song in that category.

When you want to listen some ignorant ass generic single.  I think 50 Cent got the formula.

I agree Kanye and Em also up there.

Ehhh.. His singles never really were that universal to me.  Although Live My Life definitely was.  He is still an acquired taste imo.
