The Game’s R.E.D. Album Gets Release Date

The Game will be seeing lots of red this Christmas. His new album has an official release date.

The Compton MC will release his fourth LP The R.E.D. Album on December 1, Rap-Up.com has learned. A deluxe edition of the set will also be available that day. The holiday release season heats up as Game goes head-to-head with Alicia Keys’ The Element of Freedom and R. Kelly’s Untitled.

    “R.E.D. album soon, wrappin this mothaf#$%@ up in 30 days ! Jimmy Iovine told me to tell ya when this sh!t drop, Merry X-Mas ! BWS/Aftermath,” he tweeted on Monday, while hinting that his new labelmate Diddy may make a guest appearance.

The Game had considered retiring from rap after 2008’s L.A.X., which spawned the hit single “My Life” with Lil Wayne. The R.E.D. Album signifies his RE-Dedication to hip-hop.

hopefully this'll be better than LAX. LAX is his weakest album so far. It wasn't bad but it wasn't as good as the last 2.

-it had too many features
-production wasnt all that (compared to his other releases)
-he wasnt speakin on anything worthy

thats the feedback ive got from many that listened to it

I don't like LAX for several reasons:

1.  lyrically he showed growth on Doctor's Advocate but with LAX he took a step back
2.  beat selection got worst
3.  it was corny
4.  all over the place, poor execution and arrangement of tracks
5.  too many guest features.  he's yet to prove he can handle an album by himself but that's not a big deal if it was hot.  Guest features were lame - DMX on the meaningless outro and intro, really? Come on.

If LAX was an ep of the 5 or 6 tracks I'd say it was dope but as an album it was poor.

But, I'm not really a Game fan.  Just a casual listener of his music.  His greatest asset is his natural voice.  People overrate him.  He's not as original or unique as people want him to be.  Goes to show how the desperate west coast fans are for a regional superstar.
