I'm with those of you who love Murder Ink...Ms. Roc spit some shit on that sinister beat...I even still sometimes bang the instrumental CD cause the production is so tight, it's kinda like listening to hip hop jazz.

same with me

Who the fuck is Phish? He did the hook for "What's The Difference". Kinda odd that Dre dissed MC Ren in "What's The Difference" and Ren was on the album :D

Great thread Rud, props homie.

There's many things I've picked up on over the years listening to the album...

- MC Ren's voice on the chorus for "Bang Bang" ( makes sense since his verse got cut from the song )
- that ticking time bomb that goes off in the middle of "The Watcher" never gets old
- if you listen to the instrumental version of Murder Ink with the volume way up, there's so much going on in that beat...sounds are just crawling all over the place
- didn't notice it at first but Dre calls Eminem "nigga" during What's The Difference ( LOL )
- D.O.C.'s voice in "The Next Episode", noticed it right away but it's tucked in there

There's others but top to bottom, it's probably my favorite album ever. The production, the mixing, it's incredible. I think Dre can make something as dope as "2001" but only time will tell if that's the case. But for the period of time in which it came out, the history leading up to Chronic 2001 and the impact it has 10 years later, it's seemingly impossible to top.

i'll keep that in mind the next time i listen to the song, cause i didn't notice it before

Okka

I'd like to hear the original version of "Bang Bang" with the verse from Ren. The original version of "What's The Difference" is tight, what other OG's have leaked? I know that about that one and there's the original version of "Forgot About Dre" too, even though it's almost the same as the version on the album.

Been years since I didn't listen to that album and as it was said its a classic period... sounds even better with the headphone Beats By Dr. Dre  8)

Damn what Aftermath needs to do is drop a Ten Year anniversary of this album, with a cd including some of the earlier leaked versions of tracks, some hittman, and some leaked Detox tracks, I don't usually dig re-releases, but it's been ten years, I could dig it

The track is Hittman's "Last Dayz", shit is tight as fuck.
