I agree with what you're saying to an extent.  I mean the guy who put up the poll was just asking an honest question about what people's favorite Master P album was.  And as I knew would inevitably happen, got several replies that were more like commentaries critiquing P's rapping ability rather than stating what their favorite P album was.  I think it might be a stretch to say that it's a result of prejudice or racism though.  I mean, maybe some of it is.  But you have to remember, especially on a westcoast board, that there's going to be some people who just don't like Master P.  I'm sure there are a number of Yukmouth fans on here who aren't going to like P for obvious reasons.  There may be some people who don't like that P switched from representing Richmond to representing New Orleans.  And I think there are some people who honestly just don't like the way the guy raps.  Now, I agree with you that those people probably didn't need to chime in on a "favorite Master P album poll thread," but I don't know that it really has anything to do with racism.

this was pretty much on point, but personal attacks over who likes and doesnt like which rapper is pretty pathetic...and playing the race card because we disagree with your taste is bullshit, and just as ignorant as branding people with differing taste to yourself as racists  8)

^ then get out if u dont understand, let me make another topic about how Bruce Springstien should've been retired in the 80's.  Some of y'all just don't get it, you're talking about my people.  copping out by telling me i'm wrong is pathetic.  no1 was talking about the nigga as an MC, it was a question about the albums he's made.  trying 2 deflect what i have said in the previous replies by calling me bitter, prejudice, or green isn't gonna help tha fact that everybody came in here to hate when they should appreciate.

I understand perfectly. you make this whole argument into a racial issue when others are here to discuss the music. But if anyone makes any kinda remark about one of "your people" which you dont agree with, then you take it to a personal level. Like i said previously, you need to go elsewhere with that huge chip on your shoulder, the train of thought section would maybe suit you better.

The only racist i can see in the thread so far is you  8)

I agree with you in that it really doesn't seem like an issue of race, to me.  Now I'm not going to say that there isn't a racist person somewhere out there who also dislikes Master P.  I'm sure there probably are a few.  But all I've seen on this forum, in this thread are people who have voiced their opinion on Master P's music. Granted, it would probably have been better to debate P's artistic merit in a separate thread than a "what is your favorite Master P album poll " thread.  But that being said, I really don't think any one on here has made any racist statements.  I just think P's music isn't for everybody.  And I say that with nothing personal against the guy.  He's made a few albums I enjoyed, a few a wasn't too crazy about, and several that I've never even heard.  But in my opinion, No Limit (at least from what I remember from listening to many of their albums in the late 90's and early 2000's) has their own sound and format, and I can easily see why it might not appeal to everyone.

"Ghetto D" was pretty cool.  I'm glad to see "Ice Cream Man" gettin' some love, in the voting.  Personally, after "99 Ways to Die," I would say "Ice Cream Man" would be my second favorite.
