Eid Mubarak To The Muslims At The Forum
« on: November 26, 2009, 06:34:30 PM »
Tomarrow is the Eid Al-Adha, the second of only two Muslim holidays.  The other one, Eid Al-Fitr is celebrated at the completion of the month of fasting (Ramadaan) and this one is celebrated at the completion of the Hajj season in Mekkah.

So may Allah give blessings to all those who made the Hajj, and Mubruk to all the Muslims celebrating tomarrow.

Why don't you throw us non-Muslims a bone and explain what you are celebrating?  If it's a positive message I'm down.

This Eid is to celebrate the Hajj pilgrimage; it celebrates the belief of Abraham willing to sacrifice his son for God, despite Satan trying to convince not to. When Abraham went to sacrifice his son, there was a switch made where a goat or cow was sacrificed instead.
