Khalil came with some nice beats on this, other than that this album is a disappointment.

Lord Willin' is still by far the best shit the Clipse have done.

this album is great, best mainstream release this year imo.  counselling DOES have a great hook. i actually like pharrell on this album, i think he came good with the hooks. a lot of folks were complainin about that though...

with every line written, and all i have given
music's been nothin more than a self made prison
i've taken inmate losses at the hands of this one
my peers been the poison to family and friendships
now it's time to mention, time to bring closure to
the clear conscious of pusha is long over due
thinkin to myself what could i be owing u?
they'll only tell u the great when they're reminiscing over u
before i trouble t roy (?) it's just the b boy
let me play the role of a common on his b boy
speaking my truth in rhyme, no matter how bland it is
a heavy heart lightened that's just what my ransom is
all apologies are better across (?) i wear the blame
we in the same group but i don't share my brothers pain
not to confuse our sentiment is all the same
i just don't feel nothing, i'm numb by the will to gain
same thing brought tears to innocence
i turned away and didn't even flinch
the music drove me crazy,
looked up and lost the first bitch i ever wanted to have my babies
nowadays she cant even face me, i'm sorry for the heart break
i promised u forever my lady, jodeci baby
pompous mutha fucka just look what them jewels made me
i'm only finding comfort in knowing u can't replace me
what a thing to say, but what am i do?
i'm role playing a conscious ni**a and true is true
cocaine aside all of the glories be who?
my critics finally have a verse of mine to jerk off too

:o best verse on the album

another awesome fuckin album. Sounds like more of a mix of album #1 and #2. This album has the hot hip-hop joints (freedom, life change, etc) like the last album but it also has more mainstream friendly joints like album #1 (grindin, whens the last time, ma i dont love her) to keep it selling better than album 2

Yeah, I'm really digging this album.  Especially the Khalil produced tracks.  On Footsteps he gets that Mos Def type flow.  Taking it back to the Jamaican roots.

I do have to say he sounds annoyed that he had to confess his raps weren't completely true.

Quote
It weighs on my conscience and I hate conscience raps
apart from that I wish to see you succeed
so I speak to my people in the spirit of Chuck D
you behind the glass trust me it cut deep
than the words to every verse haunted me in my sleep
so now what you see is Malice in contradiction
he who has ears hope you're listening, come on!

Dope
Cool breeze; I'm hopping out of new Beams
My outfit ran me a few G's but none of that will matter if you leave
I used to be an Adam with two Eves and shawtys automatically do me
Excuse me, all that happened before you doesn't matter
I'm a vision of the future climbing the success ladder
Recline, in the mean time, twenty three shine, diamond bling blind as I rewind

wow... another GREAT fucking album!  :o

even though I already expected it to be dope, Clipse never disappoint... will buy this for sure just like I did with their first 2 albums

favorite tracks: "Freedom", "There Was A Murder", "Counseling", "Foot Steps", "Life Change"

and this is lyrically their best album thus far IMO  8)
