Interesting MJ/Vitiligo Pictures...
« on: January 26, 2002, 10:15:32 PM »
Hey Everybody!  I've been listening to this new michael jackson butterflies remix, so I'm on a kick again, LOL

Anyways, I ran across some interesting pictures about his vitiligo condition, and what he's went through.  People always show the bad pictures of him, but I thought i'd show you the 'alternate' choice he could have made.  Check this out...

Here's a woman, who had vitiligo, and took the same treatment mike did...

Before Treatment (this is what mike's skin looked like around 85ish)

During treatment (this is what mike's skin looked like during the "bad" period, while he was wearing makeup to cover it up)

After treatment (this is what mike's skin looks like now)

Now, here's a pic of a man WITH vitiligo, that hasn't been treated, and is what mike would look like today.

And here's a pic of him took @ the american music awards, last week.

Looking at it THAT way, he actually looks pretty good, all things considering.

1. He didn't really 'change his skin color', he just took medication that allowed vitiligo to overtake his whole body, instead of little patches.  I dunno what it would cost.  His is pretty clean, so probably a pretty penny, LOL.

2. Yeah, in 84 or so, he was filming a pepsi commercial with the jackson 5, and was walking down a staircase on the shoot when an explosion behind him caught his jheri curl on fire.  They put it out, but it severely burned his scalp.  BTW, vitiligo often lays dormant in someone until severe head trauma triggers it active, this is probably the incident that 'awoke' the disease in him. (his father and brother have it, also, but it's still dormant).  BTW, at the time, he wouldn't let the paramedics take him outside without his glove on, so he could wave to the fans, LOL.

Damn, that's messed up. I can't blame him for just making himself all the way white instead of having those spots.

Yeah, Sisqo may be in the early stages of it.  He said his doctors think it's vitiligo, but they're not sure.

Average MJ fan's response to it?

"Man, Sisqo will do ANYTHING to be like Michael Jackson"

LOL
