Eminem - Relapse: Refill (Discussion Thread- no asking for links)

^^^lol i dunno why but when u said that i was expecting some sorta next episode sort of change up to the beat, something that sort of insane or you hyped it up too much for me because i only hear the slightest lil change.

Anyway imo, 2,3 and 6 have the best beats. Track 7 had potential to be a good beat, def not suited for eminem, but i dont think its a monster beat, thats for sure. I think the second track is probably the best in terms of instrumental and would probably be the best joint too. Like jome or meho said, track 7, its similar to a maryj vibe or it could have had a snoop/nate on it to give the beat more flavour, def not suited for eminem.

This refill is not any worse than the stuff thats on relapse and thats a positive as far as im concerned because i only will download this, no plans on buyin after thinkin the original was poor. Dres beats on this are actually more original, less reclycled than the stuff that was released on relapse too.

and did i just hear a dre beat with some real bounce to it again - drop the bomb on 'em is pretty funky

I like the hook on Elevator.  It sounds like it could be from Encore.  Very genuine feeling to Em's vocals on the chorus; matches the beat nicely.  The verses aren't up to par though. 

The rest of the tracks remind me of Relapse.  I'm not in a horror-gore mood so I'm not really feeling it.  I can state I like the beat on Taking My Ball. 

I'm mos def glad these tracks got scrapped.  Hopefully, Just Blaze and crew are bringing out a more personal Em ala Forever.

Im sorry but this shit  doesnt fly with me at all! If they expect the people to pay for this they have got to be kidding!
The accent is still there and if im honest the only two track I dig are Hell Breaks Loose and Music Box. I dig the beats on most of the tracks but Em was on some bullshit here. Glad this shit leaked out so I just grab those two tracks and throw the rest away! Was almost tempted to cop this despite being pretty indifferent with the album itself... Fuck the accent (which is apparently still goin to be on Relapse 2) and Fuck this scam for more money for a MEH album...

I like Encore.  I guess I can understand the hate it gets but everything makes sense. 

Relapse is dope too.  I'm not a huge fan of horror-core shit so!

This beat kills every beat on Relapse IMO, very orchestral. Exactly the type of shit I want to hear on Detox. Reminds me of busta's"dont carried away".

I really hate that guitar (I think?) sound in the dre track... sounds really tinny. I don't know what it is, but when Dre makes tracks for em his instruments just sound weird.

Same thing on Buffalo Bill. As far as the structure, its DOPE. Kills almost every beat on the original Relapse. But it just sounds weird. Like he was using weak fruity loop vsts (and we all know he wasnt).

And of course Ems rapping about the same old bullshit...

Shit... This has some dope songs on it... For saying I'm yet to cop Relapse I may just buy Refill instead. Forever has grown on me, Hell breaks lose is fucked, music box is ill and there's a couple alright songs (although Taking my ball still sounds shit).

They need a video for one of the new tracks - Hell breaks Loose would be dope!
