Meho, do you have an assus computer?
I noticed the ATi thing on the screen shot.

Do you know where I can reinstall that program =X
I accidentally deleted it because I didn't think I needed it and now I fucked up my screen resolution

Well today is the first one after 5 days where the pc worked normal when I woke up. I hope everything is ok now but just to be safe in case shit happens next time, how do I reinstall the graphic card ?
usually the graphics card comes with an install CD, but based on your reaction, i don't think you know if you have it. :laugh: ;)
that's ok, you can always get the latest software from the internet.

in case you don't know which graphics card you have:

-go to the start menu
-click on control panel




or


-if it looks like the first picture, you need to go to performance & maintenance.

-click on system
-go to the tab 'hardware'

now you should see a list of hardware components
-click on the + sign to the left of display adapters

now you should see the name of your graphics card, you need that when downloading the software here:

32/64 bit?

if you have Windows XP, you can easily find out:



-go to the start menu
-click on control panel




or


-if it looks like the first picture, you need to go to performance & maintenance.

-click on system

you should now see some basic info about your Windows Version.
if you don't see any mention of 64-bit then you have the 32-bit version.

not sure if you have the english version of windows, but the instructions shouldn't be too hard to follow regardless

So I fill out everything, and it just tells me to go to the support site of asus =/

Fuckit, it's too slow & not connecting to my tv anyway, i'll just go to the store during the week and ask them to fix it.

alright, decided to check the asus website.
didn't find any product info, but i did find software in the download section.

http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us

here's what you need to select

-product: notebook
-series: F50 series
-model: F50SL

click on search.

as soon as you see the results, click on VGA, then select a download server

THe light goes On, the computer makes the sound that it's connected but it doesnt'allow me to enter it nor let me see it.

that could mean multiple things, so let's find out.

first, i'd like to know if you've tried connecting the drive to other USB ports that are present on your laptop?

so you mean that you pulled out the power cable?
strange, i don't think you did anything wrong.

well the good news is, you hear a sound, which means Windows detects something ;)

let's see if Windows tells you something about the issue.

go to Control panel, it looks like this:


-go to system and maintenance, or whatever it's called in your version

-click on device manager



you'll see a list of hardware.
not sure where the drive is divided into ( mine for example, is listed as a hard disk, but this may differ)
i found a picture that shows the possible locations:


i'm quite sure your device has an exclamation symbol next to it, something like this(different device off course):



click on the device, and read any available information about the issue

I keep getting the message as if the files are in use, so I can't delete them. But I haven't used them in like 6 months (nothing important, some old video files). So basically, how do I delete something that Windows doesn't let me ?

Try deleting the files first then the folder.
Had that same problem billions of times.

have you tried right-clicking the folder, properties, then making sure its not read-only?
