I can't stand Busta Rhymes Back On My B.S.  Such a disappointing album but I really enjoy The Big Bang which gets hated on.

I also really enjoy Lil Flip's Undrground Legend (dope dope dope fucking album)

My pick for album I love that people hated off the top of my head is...

Canibus "Can-I-Bus"

...Everyone started tripping after this album dropped, INCLUDING CANIBUS HIMSELF.  In his second album he said, "Wyclef spoiled it!".   Wyclef spoiled what?  The album was fucking dope, that shit sold GOLD, and his video's were on rotation at MTV and BET.  He'd give his left nut to have that kind of success once more.

Also, people shitted on Wyclef's production.  Wyclef's production was on point, tracks like "Let's Ride" and "Honor U" gave color to Canibus' otherwise raw, gritty style.  Wyclef is a very under-appreciated producer.  His only production that people ever gave respect to was the Fugee's album, but he's had so many great cuts ever since.

I do agree that Canibus could of used a couple more raw battle, straight lyrical 100 Bars type cuts like what we saw on 2,000 BC.  But don't forget his greatest battle track of all time "2nd Round Knockout" is on there.  So you can't say he abandoned his style on the album.

His first two albums are certified hip-hop classics that I think any hardcore 90's hip-hop would love.  As for the rest of his albums...I can't really say

All I know is "One Ought Not To Think" is a contender for one of the dopest hip-hop tracks I've listened to.
