everybody always thought the snoop-version was a remix, it wasn't - it was th o.g.
50 wrote a hook which snoop recorded, dre didn't feel it (Calvin did a HORRIBLE job), took it off, then replaced him wit Curtis' version - who killed it, n made it into a hit-single. supossedly snoop caught feelings wit his part beein removed from the song, so 50 paid him anyway for his participation, as a "respect-thing".

stupid websites, and mixtape-dj's were premierin the song as "westside story (remix)" - confusin everybody..

the only "remix" there is, is the "G-Mixx" daz did for the song unofficialy. there's also a version by DJ Neptune, blendin both Fiddy's and Snoop's vocals in to 1 hook..

this song - "Westside Story", was actually the first Dre-song Snoop participated on, since Xzibit's "Losin' Your Mind" from 02.

ppl think they got back together for the "Blue Carpet"-album, but 50 brought Snoop in for this Dre-produced banger from Game's first classic album almost 2 years before that..

yeah no doubt i mean both versions are aite....but i think snoops version and snoops style fits that song better than what 50 made outta it
but yeah if 50 were better on hooks then maybe the song could have been much bigger than it was...possibly a bigger single cuz they never shot a video for it or it wasnt even a single right?
but regardless i think if it was made better and more work was put in it could have been maybe the top 3 highlights of the album

btw:what if any hook has 50 done well in your opinion?
even if the rider part 2 wasnt autotune it still be wack cuz its almost impossible for 50 to pull off a dope hook

now on the other hand game can do some cool hooks but hate it or love it wasnt the bidness imo (i jus hate that song period)
