"Lose Yourself" Is The Milenium Version Of The Rocky Theme
« on: November 21, 2002, 03:59:05 PM »
This is the modern day version of the "Rocky Theme" for America.  This song is really impacting us just as much as his other solo releases have.  This isn't just a pop song for sales, it's got meaning and the song gives you an adrenalene rush.  I hope people are recognizing it.

I can honestly say, I like the beat alot, and the hook, but the song in general don't do much for me.  I don't like how he's always trying to be so hard with his vocals, I like his less serious stuff much better.

"One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. "Which road do I take?" she asked. "Where do you want to go?" was his response. "I don't know," Alice answered. "Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

with no relation to the rocky theme, this track does give an underneath rush, I mean, shit is sick, from the moment he starts going bout how he's nervous be4 the concert to the vomit on the shirt and so on..., it tellz perfectly what he planed it to tell.
We are all human beings isn't that a good enough reason for peace?

I like the comparison to the Rocky theme  ;D But yeah, the Rocky theme is a straight up classic, still gives me chills, "Lose Yourself" isn't a classic imo, it's really dope but it'll probably fizzle out after a few more listens.

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.
