it's not that those tracks aren't "real rap" or hip-hop, but when you say "anthem" it would have to apply to a much bigger song with more of an impact than any of those named

wow, you're pretty pathetic lmfao.

don't be upset because My Life isn't up there. ::)

anyway, basically what H0W HiGH said, it's not that i don't like those songs; there are just songs that have bigger impact that stand more as an anthem of hip hop.

If you were listening to Hip Hop in the early 90's, those songs listed had HUGE impact, what the fuck are you all smoking?

"T.R.O.Y.", "Hip Hop Hooray" and "Check The Rhime" got mad love, radio play and mad video spins. "Mass Appeal" not so much even though it was a classic record.

Y'all want "In Da Club"  or some club banger up there or some garbage like that just because it got a lot of radio play? Pffft. GTFOH!

Any ways my pick is Common - "I Used To Love H.E.R."

Niggaz Wit Attitude - Fuck Tha Police.

Why??? Because it has Expression of self, Emotion, Dope lyrics, and deep content all within one. Seriously, get off the East dick, and the mainstream medias "hip-hop is" crap. I mean damn, only 5??? So you're telling me that out of all the greats who've impacted on rap, Those are the only 1s who represent a Hip-Hop anthem.pffft fuck that. A Variety of tracks can represent what Hip-Hop is within personification.

But Since U put up such a list. I'd have to choose none of those. :/
