I'm not wowed by this.  That's to say I enjoy it but find it to be a leftover.  One I'm glad to have and glad it did not make the album. 

I have been quite pleased of all 3 of the j.Cardim tracks.  Each had decent production, Budden doing his usual business, and AMAZING mixing/'mastering (something which Budden slacked off for the past couple of years).

I don't watch American Idol.

By leftover I do not mean that it wasn't recorded recently, even last night.  I simply mean I don't think it's good enough to make it on an album.  It sounds like it's a leftover from an album, not an album cut.
