Tbh most of Drakes songs are a bit formulaic to me. He has no personality imo all he talks about are girls, his swag/flow, success and hip hop. His life isn't interesting enough imo. Hence why hes a bit boring. 50 came with a story and catchy hooks/songs.

Damain Marley/Nas could be fucked. Anticipating Jay Electronica, Saigon (if it drops), J Cole, Lupe, BOB, Detox, Reflec Eternal, Joell Ortiz, Relapse 2, Big Bois, Gorillaz, DMX (if it drops) and most of all...

ANDRE 3000 solo LP - would shit on everything else if its just rapping and sick beats.

Xzibit & Joell Ortiz are the things to anticiapate.

Drake is going to sell, but for all the wrong reasons.

i tip my cap to him for making money, but let's face it; anyone known as "Wayne's boy", with a similar flow, similar voice, similar rhymes is going to sell.

it's like a clone & he can sing.

perfect combination.

but like Jay said, nobody is really hyped for this but thirteen year old girls lol.

i dont know what the hype is around b.o.b? dude is average at best.

xzibit fell off, and joel ortiz is nothing worth mentioning.

hate on drake all you want, im just pumped a canadian cat is doing big numbers that i enjoy listening to even tho the music is commercialized, he has dirty punchlines.

kardi is the only canadian rapper doing big things and to be honest i hate his recent shit.

Drake's album will probably be dope.

I'm up in the air about B.O.B & J.Cole's debuts.

Oritz should be fun.  Xzibit sound nasty.

But, most of them sound like they got too many features.  They need to chill out on that shit.

And, cham you just hating.

this is why this board is absurd lol.

two people come in & say i'm hating because i'm not praising him like he is Michael Jackson reincarnated.

go around & say "waaa, waaa, mainstream rap sucks", then turn around & co-sign the biggest name in mainstream music. ::)

you guys are hyped for this? you understand "being hyped" for something is like, something you can barely wait to hear.

like The Great Escape is something i am hyped about, like i would kill to hear it tomorrow; you guys would kill for Drake's album to drop within the next few hours?

i'm going to bump it, i'm going to like most of it, probably more than all of you, because i'm probably one of the bigger mainstream fans on the board; but i'm not jizzing in my pants awaiting it's release & i know you two aren't either lol.

"Most Anticipated Album Of 2010", by people on this board? no, by 13 year old girls; common sense would tell you that one.

really? you don't see any similarities between Drake & Wayne? none? ???

it's almost a fact that Drake writes for Wayne, so there has to be some for of similarity there.

i don't mean wrong reasons like "his music sucks"; but he is such a big name that he could pull an Eminem "Encore" & it would go platinum; he fed off the Wayne hype & added some of his own followers with some single-material songs.

now it's like a cult lol.

Everybody has their own taste but to say that only 13 year old girls are hyped for this is plain ignorant.

And, hence, you're hating.

There's nothing wrong with mainstream music.  People steady hate on it but what's really wrong with it?  Most of it's club music, so what?  Is that really an issue?  Come on...grow up.

Most rappers hate on other rappers because they ain't getting that cake.

If Drake writes for Wayne that means WAYNE IS LIKE DRAKE.  Drake ain't like Wayne.

What's wrong with Best I Ever Had, Fear, Successful?

Huh?

They're all dope songs that properly communicate a certain feeling in relation to the topic at hand.

TRUE STORY;

Drake gets hate because everybody is loving him now.  Before hand, when he hadn't blown up yet, all the internet soldiers were steady on his cock.
