Rick Ross "Mafia Music 2" street single off "Teflon Don"
« on: January 21, 2010, 01:00:41 PM »
here's the sequel to "Mafia Music" damn the beat is soulful, sounds like a eastcoast banger that jigga or nas would jump on. Ross's lyrics stay improving. Sounds like the production will sound hella dope like "deeper than rap." "Teflon Don" coming soon.

If production is on point like on "Deeper than Rap" we might have another good album...

Deeper Than Rap was a good album but it could have been one of the greats if it had taken a more mafioso rap approach rather than pandering to commercial audiences with so many watered down female songs.

Yes we know offficer rawse is a clown and a liar, but so are other rappers so lets not start pretending like he's the first to stretch the truth about how much money has or how he got it. His beats are incredible, he can flow, he just needs to work painting a "reasonable doubt" like ambience for the next album and he'll have a classic.

Nice. DTR first half and last two or three songs were dope, some real shitty tracks in the middle brought it down. Ross + Justice League works very well, lots of big, mafia movie types of instrumentals.

If Ross had just admitted like the Clipse he's just telling stories he would've been better off but he ran with the stupid image.  Jeeze!

Deeper Than Rap had dope production and I enjoy some of Ross's tracks but damn he's a guilty pleasure (vocally & lyrically but not production).

people will continue to hate, but Ross continues to make some of the best mainstream music. His sound is so crazy. As mentioned, he does something to paint a dope picture of mafia and dope tales. I don't care if it's a lie, he makes it sound so dope and real.

Enough has been said about his ear, production wise, he gets the best beats available.

Lyrically, he keeps improving too. The last 2-3 records on DTR were INSANE, and so was Mafia Music. This joint is dope as well.

Ross is the shit, "Teflon Don" should be hot.

Y'all can't hear him breathing all over this track?  He sounds like he's gasping for air.  His breath control is horrible.

This could have done without the first one and a half minutes. Other than that this is an ok song.
