I like the majority of his music.  There's definitely a different passion you can hear in his voice when he first started out but it makes sense.

he had more of street vibe to his earlier work.

you hear it throughout Get Rich or Die Tryin' too.

he naturally lost it, but he also moved on to a "gentleman/business man" & took some of the grimey accent out of his music.

it's obviously gotten worse over the years, but even Curtis wasn't something i just threw in the trash; it had a few good jams.

he has one of the largest hit singles in Hip Hop history (In Da Club; not to mention Candy Shop was HUGE); with two classic albums under his belt (one not even with Dre/Aftermath); The Massacre was pretty good for my ears, got shitted on & the other two were clearly weaker, but not "absolute trash" by any means.

Before I Self Destruct started off awesome but the album fell off after track 9 lol; but it was a good vibe for the first nine songs, i'd look forward to a new 50 album if you told me it was going to sound like those first nine songs.

but yeah, the early 50 Cent was fucking raw & awesome; but we've all heard the same thing happen to Eminem; he lost that angry, raw, accented sound & now legit uses a forgien accent lol; rappers just lose that energy when they get to that iconic "billion dollar man" status.

he got his millions, but sold his soul.

the label won't let him drop what he wants because they know that grimey shit, even if it's amazing, won't sell.

it's the true downfall of rap. :-\

I'm counting that he quits interscope, make G-Unit records an independent label, and attempts to turn it into a major label.  That'll be the shit to see.

I find it so hard to believe grimey HIP HOP won't sell.

How depressing.  :(
